He held her close with one arm and with the other pulled down an invisible hand held radio and spoke into into it like a flight attendant "KZZT~The planned portion of our outing has come to an end. We have arrived in winter wonderland. Now boarding for somewhere warm and dry ~ding dong~" he knelt down facing away and ushered for her to climb onto his back.

Serenity smiled up at him and rolled her eyes, that was the problem with being around someone as puny as she was, life turned out to be a bad joke book. Not that she was adverse to the idea but her puny bone was killing her.
She smiled and climbed up onto his back lightly trying not to make any jerky movements until she realized that she didn't really weigh that much to start with so there wasn't that much problem. "Mr. Flight attendant," she said as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders to keep herself in place, "How long will this flight to warm and cozy be?" she asked resting her head on his shoulder.

That was one thing Mathew definitley liked about Serenity. She never questioned his antics or called him out for being so random. Much like he had developed a taste for her witty sarcasm. He didn't like it when people took things too seriously. "....Id tell you....it you weren't...choking..." He choked out, she was grasping a little too hard around his neck. He started walking downhill.

Serenity loosened her hold almost as soon as he'd finished what he had said. "Sorry." she said leaning in closer to balance herself better while just holding on to his shoulders. She really hadn't meant to hold on so hard but this was a little to closer related to flying then she had realized. Not that she didn't trust Mathew with her life, she just didn't like flying.

Mathew laughed aloud so she wouldn't feel bad, "Its okay. We'll be out of the forest in only a minute. Then its like another few to get to your house." It was strange to think out an outing like this as a date when you lived together. It was nice though to be so privileged; Serenitys mother really liked him. Even he thought she was a little too trusting, but then realized it probably had something to do with the fact she was a psychic just like her daughter; she knew they wouldn't............... Mathew secured her in place with his arms as he took a brisk pace down the hillside. The trees zoomed past and Mathew felt the need to make more sound effects. They were nearing the edge of the forest where they had first met up that day and it was now getting dark. "Wanna walk from here?"

((sorry for the slow post I wanted to get it right)) Serenity smiled as she read his face from the position she was in, the smile spreading across his face was the easy one to decipher. He was having almost as much if not more fun then she was. Which was entirely possible, not that she was scared of heights. Or that she was adverse to airplanes, she just hated not being able to control everything.
As Sorina had said before it was her worst side effect of seeing the future. Not the annoying personality, or even the pain she had to go through with the visions themselves, it was wanting to keep things in balance. Problem was life was unpredictable and so were humans. Divergence points proved that theory totally and completely.
She smiled at his offer once they had made it to where they had started their trip earlier, "Sure it's not that far," she said with a smile and stepped down next to him lightly letting her feet crunch in the snow.

<<good post>> Mathew stood up straight as she hopped off of his back. She had an unnatural grace about her that seemed to entrance him. He took her hand almost automatically and began walking down the lamplit suburbs. The light only kept the neighborhood slightly dim as the last bit of sunlight disappeared over the horizon, yet the sky was still lit up in a brilliant orange. The sunset was bordered by the branches of the dead trees, adding a pretty contour to the natural art. "Wow, what a beautiful sunset. Lets get inside before it gets dark. There's werewolves you know" he squeezed her hand, a little reminder of their little secret about his old place.

Serenity chuckled and grinned up at him playfully, "Don't forget the vampires." she joked as they walked along the streets of the evening. There were almost no one else out at this time. Well anyone that was alive that is. Spirits of the dead didn't care if it was cold or not. It just was.
The sun was no longer glistening in the snow, the snow almost lit up the town itself now. The white was a stark contrast to the dark buildings that it covered. It was beautiful in it's own way. The only sad thing was they were almost home. "It really is beautiful this time of night." she said with a smile as she watched a large group of spirits race across the street undeterred by the cars that went through them.

"Yeah..." Mathew breathed out softly, expressing a bit of awe, definitely the dominate expression tonight. He noticed how the small flame in her necklace made kaleidoscopic patterns in the snow. Quite trippy looking. "Nature really can surprise you if you ever give it a chance." he said, turning to face her. Her green eyes were sparkling in the moonlight, and her entrancing smile was back. That was one of the first things he had noticed about her was her smile. It had a way of melting his insides. What he had overlooked though, was her how pretty her green eyes were. Before he knew it, they were both standing in front of her house. "You know... you're... sort of...er...b-beautiful, yourself" he eventually forced himself to choke out nervously.

Serenity felt her cheeks turn red as she looked down at their intertwined hands nervously. She wasn't used to receiving compliments of any form. Insults yes, smart ass comments, yes. Dealing with supervillains yes. Give insults, yes. Dealing with drunks, yes. Conversing with the dead, yes.
Relationships, no.
She ran her thumb over the back of his hand trying to think of anything to say in response. "Thank-you." she breathed out eventually casting her eyes back up to meet his blue ones.[
