AGE: 19 years old
GENDER: Female
TEAM: No team
SIDE: Villain
OCCUPATION: College student
NATIONALITY: Irish, mixed European
HISTORY: Sheba was born in Los Angeles, California to a single mother who worked as a airline stewardess. Times were tough, with Sheba left behind with her grandmother whenever her mother was at work. Even with the long hours, Sheba's mother made very little money and they were very poor in their early years. There seemed to be nothing special about her, aside from her above average grades and ability to drive away anyone who tried to get close to her. Her grandmother was the closest person in her life, and the pair of them didn't get along well because Sheba was strong-willed and her grandmother was very strict.
She went to public school in her early years, and soon discovered that she had a talent for athletics. Volleyball and track soon became her passion. The fateful evening came when she was at the gym a few blocks from her house and she met a group practicing freerunning. She had never heard of it, but she watched them for a few days, intrigued by their activities. Eventually, their leader, a young woman who called herself Archa, took Sheba under her wing and began to teach her how to free run with the rest of them.
Although the new skills she learned helped in her other sports, they soon fell by the wayside as she took to free running with enthusiasm. She went with her new friends across the city whenever they got the chance, and they made no distinguishing between trespassing and public property as they built their skills. It was on one such outing that the group found themselves at an abandoned industrial plant.
What they didn't know was that the owner of the plant was a witch who mixed her dark magic with biological experiments. They saw something that they were not meant to see: a portal to the dark realm from which the witch drew her power. When the group was spotted, they ran. Because of their skills, they got away with little ill effect. Sheba was terrified, but she convinced herself that it had never happened.
What she didn't expect was for the witch to hunt them down. When the witch found Sheba and her grandmother, Sheba's grandmother was murdered, and Sheba herself was kidnapped. The witch took Sheba and her friends through the portal for experimentation, gathering them individually and keeping them separate. Sheba herself was cursed by the witch, to be forever tied to the shadows. The curse was a stain on the soul that spilled out into her physical form, giving her the power over darkness and shadows that she now has.
Her friends were each charmed with shapeshifting magic for different animals, but Sheba's rebellious spirit altered the attempt to turn her into a guard dog, and instead she gained the ability to transform into a black fox. Because she wasn't tied by the instinctive loyalty that the witch instilled in the rest, she was able to transform and escape the realm using her new-found powers.
When she returned home, she realized she could tell none of this to the police or her mother, because who would believe a story such as theirs, especially since the witch was a powerful industrialist in the human world? Luckily, Sheba's mother decided to move them across the state to get a fresh start, fleeing from the murder of the grandmother. Sheba found herself in Jump City, and enrolled in the local high school.
At first, Sheba tried to use her powers to be a superhero, but she found that her instincts tended toward darkness. For two years, she fought the darkness, but when her mother lost her job and fell into alcoholism, Sheba began to wonder what it was that she was trying to protect. Graduating from high school, she moved into the dorms and dropped the hero act. If this system perpetuated misery, why should she fight to protect it, anyway? She became a villain and never looked back.
FAMILY: Regina Young (grandmother, deceased), Sera Young (mother)
PERSONALITY: Sheba is an extremely independent personality. She loves doing things her own way, in her own time, and this free spirit makes it difficult for her to stay in the legitimate world. Her grades in school are hit or miss, since she rarely shows up for class, preferring to spend her time pilfering whatever little pretties she can gather to sell. She has a weakness for jewelry, and steals it whenever she gets the opportunity. Her greed is a direct result of her former poverty, but she doesn't recognize that.
On an interpersonal level, she is not difficult to befriend, but she is difficult to get close to because she is a flake. Depending on her is never a good plan, because she goes from one thing to the next on a whim, and doesn't like to explain herself. She grew up in the big city, and loves to be surrounded by the big city lights, and can often be found at concerts or theaters, enjoying all that it has to offer. As a criminal, she is driven primarily by selfishness and bitterness. The dark stain on her soul sometimes drives her to indulge in sadism, especially when she is angry.
DISLIKES: Quiet, poverty, alcohol, studying, classical music, Mexican food, forests
DREAMS: She wants to be surrounded by riches. The rest of the world can burn for all she cares.

BODY STRUCTURE: Sasha is average in height and athletic in build. She is closer to slender than solid, but is muscular enough not to appear skinny.
STYLE: Her style is as varied as her tastes, and changes every day. A follower of the trendy, she uses her money to buy whatever is in that season.
PIERCINGS OR TATTOOS: She has pierced ears and a small stylized fox tattoo on the back of her left shoulder.
COSTUME: Shadowfox wears a flowy black skirt and black leggings with dark red seams. Her black jacket falls just below her bust, while the rest of her torso is covered by a tight dark red tank. She keeps a pistol in a shoulder holster under her left arm. Her black and red boots have a tread that allow her to keep her grip when she is free running. Her bright red hair is kept tied back in a french braid bun. Her black domino mask hides her identity, and her black gloves keep her from leaving fingerprints.
ODDITIES: Sheba has an odd sort of morality. She doesn't like it when poor people are victimized, but she has no problem victimizing others. Despite having no real job, she always seems to have money. Not to mention her hatred of nature, which is directly opposed to her fox form.
ABILITIES: Shadow control, shadow solidification and weaponization, shadow petrification (makes the shadow solid to keep someone in the shadow from moving), shadow merging (ability to become a shadow), silent movement, transformation into a fox, increased senses. Also freerunning and acrobatics. Carries a gun.

INTRODUCTION: Jewelry stores were getting to be too smart for their own good. With all of the added security, it was almost not even worth the effort to come by after hours to get the necklaces she'd eyed that morning. Lifting her eyes to the fire escape on the opposite alley, she spared the lonely building a last glance and made her way up as quickly as she could manage, grateful for once that her powers made her footsteps silent. Magic, it seemed, could be good for something every now and again. The thought made her scowl.
The leap across to the jewelry store roof wasn't even a challenge, but the motion tracking seemed to extend to it, so she froze the shadows in front of the sensors to keep them from picking up any trace of movement. It was an old trick that she'd long-since mastered, but it was convenient.
Slipping in through the vents was simple when she was in shadow form, even if the architects had been smart enough to make them too small to fit through otherwise. No one was smart enough to make their business Shadowfox proof, and that was why her life had become so easy. She could slip in and slip out before anyone even realized that they'd been robbed. It was almost too easy.
Her shadow brought her to the glass case where the necklaces in question were sitting, and she materialized in front of them, smiling at the display case. Pulling her pistol from its holster, she used the stock to smash the case, setting off a dozen alarms. Her delighted giggle told the security guard on duty where she was, and her fingers caressed the necklaces as she pulled them free.
"Stop right there!" the guard shouted, pulling his gun.
Shadowfox tucked the necklaces into her pocket and pulled the zipper closed before turning to look at the fat middle-aged man, a scornful look on her face. He was clearly uncomfortable with pointing his weapon at a young woman, and she could see a bead of sweat running down his temple as he stood there, his pistol aimed at her.
"Too slow," she warned, grinning.
He fired as soon as she moved, but she had already blacked out the room and dissolved into the shadow, and his bullet shattered some glass somewhere far behind. Reappearing behind the man, she clocked him with her own gun, knocking him senseless. He flopped heavily to the tiles, leaving her standing over him with a contemplative look on her face.
"Why do they even hire fat security guards?" she wondered aloud.
Shaking her head, she waved at the security camera with a wide grin and dissolved again, leaving the same way she'd come in. She would probably keep at least one of the necklaces, but the other would be a good sell. It was a great night to be alive, that was sure.
