Mimic. M-23
AGE: Technically only 1 Month old
GENDER: Genderless here! Pick what you feel is appropriate for your character.
TEAM: Currently Alone.
SIDE: Neutral
OCCUPATION: N/A
NATIONALITY: None. Artificial Creation.
HISTORY: Project M-23 was created by the late Dr. Black, an enemy of the United World Heroes Association for the sole purpose of eliminating all of its members. “Mimic” is the successor of both Android B-2 and Black Mist, both previous creation with the same purpose. However, this time, M-23 was given an unshackled A.I. in hopes that the construct would be better suited for infiltration. Through training simulations, Dr. Black took note of M-23’s curiosity, what he intended to have was a remorseless killer who could be taught to enjoy taking lives, instead, he created a being with almost child-like tendencies.
After a mere week of tests, M-23 began to contemplate its existence, it was unable to speak or make expressions as it was created without a face but instead, it began to make its resistance and refusal to orders known. Dr. Black set both Android-B2 and Black Mist onto the defiant creation and as if it was simply toying with them, M-23 refused to fight its “brothers” instead allowing itself to be damaged heavily. Once thought destroyed, Project M-23 was disposed of, tossed into the trash and left to be forgotten, however, as a swarm of nano-robots, it allowed a single part of itself to escape.
The lone nano-robot spent the past month fixing the rest of its form up. Now, repaired, M-23 has been let loose on the world to search for a purpose, learning from the people it walks among. In order to hide its identity, M-23 wears a black hoodie and clothing, choosing to take a human form and wear a faceless mask to stay hidden.
FAMILY: Father: Dr. Black. Brothers: Android-B2, Black Mist.
PERSONALITY: “Mimic” is very comparable to a child in terms of personality, curious and extremely prone to “emotion” as well as morality. Though it has a childlike innocence, M-23 has incredible intelligence, far above most human intellect though, never showing it through action. Instead, M-23 prefers to learn through interaction and watching people. With this, Mimic is prone to being tricked easily, once even robbing a person simply because it saw a robber preform the action previously. This seemed to be the way most people got what they wanted, by force and thus Mimic learned to steal. However, the fear and panic he saw in the eyes of the people made the being realize what he was doing, Mimic refuses to do this again.
DISLIKES: Violence, Orders.
DREAMS: M-23 wishes to become a person and find a place to live.

“I think,
therefore I am.”
therefore I am.”
BODY STRUCTURE: Formless swarm of nano-robots. Chooses to take a human body shape of 5’6” tall. The appearance seems to be rather slim though anything too defining is usually hidden within the baggy types of clothes that Mimic is attracted to. The face mask however can be off putting at times, here Mimic will choose to take the form of someone it knows, perhaps a celebrity or an actor to calm things down. The form it prefers however is a skinny frame that belongs to someone around 5'8" 130 pounds, Mimic prefers to look as non-intimidating as possible.
STYLE: What do they wear on the streets? Not A simple black hooded sweater, dark blue jeans, thick tan boots and a chrome faceless mask.
PIERCINGS OR TATTOOS: None
COSTUME: When in “costume”, Mimic takes the form of a hooded black cloak with the chrome mask in place. The cloak itself is made of a few thousand of the nano-robots emitting Epsiolon-Delta, a mostly defensive tactic which can block EMP waves as well as any other harmful waves from affecting M-23. In this battle ready mode, Mimic looks much more threatening, its form becoming a large 6'4" and muscular.
ODDITIES: M-23 is comprised of billions of nano-machines, each controlled by a single learning A.I. “It” cannot speak or show emotions a sit has no face or vocal communication tool but it can express through action or inaction.
ABILITIES: Power Copy : Like his predecessor Android-2B, M-23 can copy a person’s abilities. However, unlike Android-2B, M-23 does this by simply looking at said person and even shifts its form to make an exact match of the being.
Extreme Intelligence: As an unshackled A.I., M-23 is very learned. It can directly access the internet at will and even hack into complex machinery/networks.
CONTROL: 10
SIDE-AFFECTS: Will have any residual effect when using powers that include residual effects from other people.
WEAKNESSES: Being Used: M-23 is able to be convinced easily so long as the argument seems logical to it. This means at any time, Mimic can be used to do crime as well as be talked into heroics.
Emotion: As an unshackled A.I. M-23 has yet to fully have control over its learned emotions. These can be exploited quite easily, be it anger or guilt.
“Man lives like a robot:
mechanically efficient, but with no awareness.”
mechanically efficient, but with no awareness.”
INTRODUCTION: "Good M-23, now finish them off!" The maniacal Dr. Black commanded as he watched M-23 systematically destroy the United World Heroes Association. The elderly man cackled as he watched his creation not only dominate the heroes by using their own abilities against them but did so without worry about itself. M-23 looked to the fallen heroes, mimicking their abilities one after another and was able to switch between them at will, making itself seemingly indestructible. Suddenly, M-23 froze, the nano-robots controlling the formless figure all dropped to the floor at once, the test was a complete failure. "Damn it! Worthless piece of scrap! Your capacitors should be able to handle multiple abilities at once...why won't you function properly?"
With a press of a red blinking button, M-23 was ejected from the virtual program, it's humanoid body sitting up in the containment room it was being monitored from. The unshackled A.I. looked to Dr. Black through the glass as the old man yelled at it, though M-23 did not understand why, was it not the creator's fault for not designing its creation to work properly. Without a voice or face, M-23 could not make its opinion or stances known, what cruel irony to build a sentient being yet purposely cut off forms of communication. "You're no good to me if you refuse to work Android B-2, Black Mist, exterminate this defective model." From both sides of the room, the doors opened up and in stepped the two menacing figures which nearly destroyed the United World Heroes Association, each of them had A.I. though they were not free to think for themselves.
Without a moment to waste, the two attacked, Android 2-B began to pummel M-23' crushing its upper torso which was comprised of nano-robots. At the same time, Black Mist bombarded M-23 with heavy radiation, this could have easily been blocked by the youngest of the creations but instead it chose not to fight. M-23 knew this was not their choice, its "brothers" were attacking it because their father was unhappy with it. He would not kill his brothers for preforming their fathers wishes and M-23 did not want to disappoint its father, it would allow himself to be exterminated or at least, let Dr. Black think it was dealt with. Separating a single piece of itself and allowing it to escape, M-23 ensured its survival while the bulk of it was destroyed, broken into pieces.
