TEEN TITANS, GO!

The early spring morning was beautiful, if a little on the chilly side. That wasn’t a problem for the leader of the Teen Tyrants; misplaced by mysterious circumstances or not, Athena had plenty of fur to keep her warm in any universe. In this universe, her fur was green; that still seemed otherwordly and strange, as Changeling was so used to her own rust-red fur color. Green fur; who could live with that? Ugh. But it didn’t matter; she and her team would wipe these pitiful heroes out and take over this world to rule it properly, like things should be. Heroes! Her, leading a team of heroes; the thought was laughable, and faintly embarrassing to think about for the villainess; her father would be furious if he found out she hadn’t killed such an aberration.
Well, he’d be furious if he ever found out - if they ever found a way home. Nobody knew how the Tyrant team - and their rival heroes of the same universe - had gotten sucked into the universe they were currently in. But universe hopping wasn’t unusual; they would find a way home, eventually. Whether they took that way home or not when they found it, well, that was a different story. Changeling had plans for this world, plans that involved her team - and didn't involve the Injustice League watching over their shoulders all the time. Temporarily freed from the burden of a parent watching over her shoulder, Changeling had plans - plans that wouldn’t get much of anywhere if she didn’t have her team with her, as motley and bloodthirsty as they were.
Hanging around on top of one of the tallest buildings in the city, the red shape shifter kept well away from the edges of the hospitals’ rooftop; there was no need for someone below to see her and send up some questioning nurse. From the top of the buildings, she could see most of the city laid out beneath her; the police station to the far west, the ghetto to the south - looking just as soul crushing and unfortunate as the one back home - and the wreck of the mall beyond that. A gaping hole had been punched into the top of it earlier in the week, and Changeling knew just the flying alien responsible; she’d recruited the girl herself, after the heroes had been stupid enough to ham-fistedly lie and manipulate the girl right into her hands. Chae - aka Rainbow, now the colorful villainess ROY - was a huge boon to the Tyrants’ fighting front; the versatility of her powers meant the Tyrants always had a bruiser on their side, even if the short young woman looked more likely to land a job modeling than knocking over buildings.
The mall was definitely her job; big, showy, expensive jewels and knick-knacks stolen - blood splattered carelessly in her wake. And, most importantly, she’d met some of these ‘Teen Titans’. Eager for information on the Titans before she ran into them unprepared, Changeling was waiting for the witty ROY to make her appearance.

It'd been almost a week now, since the woman's return from space to fireworks of light, sound, and horror, as she knocked over a jewelry store in the Mall. Remarkably, no one died that day, though not for lack of attempting, at least as far as the newspapers proclaimed, especially when it came to the fight between her and the green furred Titan by the name of Shift. The weirdest part about the jewelry heist though was what was stolen - all the diamonds were left behind, and only rubys, spessaritites, citrines, emeralds, sapphires, amethysts, and tourmaline were stolen. This led to a question on if the attack was perhaps not financially motivated. True or not, the crime spree didn't end there - over the past few days each day a new store was robbed, and every time only objects of the colors of the rainbow stolen - expensive dresses, new cars, even shoes. Notably one shop claims that a robbery began by the noted orange clad jump-suited woman, only to stop as she failed to find any pants in a good purple color, all of the goods she had looted dropped to the ground as she wordlessly left. No deaths still, but plenty of injuries, as the woman just seemed to blindly kick, step on, and otherwise act as if all civilians simply... weren't there. This time though, the girl in the skin tight racer's suit and helmet wasn't after any loot, she wasn't out scoping the land. She wasn't even flying, no trails in the sky as she whipped her way from building to building, orange constructs flinging her through the air as she went from rooftop to rooftop. She knew what she had seen on the hospital roof, and she wasn't sure if she was or wasn't keen on it. Either way through, as she whipped herself up onto the rooftop with a self-made fastball special, she didn't hesitate to taunt at least, "You know, I think your sister in the green pulls off the look a little better. I reeeally should teach you how to wear red properly." She didn't remove her helmet, as she sat on the fence around the hospital rooftop, still shining in the bright orange, "Because I think we both know I pull it off way better than you could even hope for."
Her posture was so nonchalant, like taunting a potentially murderous shapeshifter was no big deal, "So are you here for a snack then? I might take offense if you start eating sick people, you know. And I just got done fighting your sister earlier this week, it's reeeally not something I'd find all that... stimulating. Though I'm almost certain you could find some... other stimulation to give me." Perhaps a wink, or a lick of the lips was done beneath that opaque bike helmet that completely obscured her features, but as it stood, the salacious tone was all that was given as she flirted. The orange splotch making its’ way towards the hospital in leaps and bounds was a familiar one. Athena raised her eyebrows when Chae landed on the fence - graceful as always, the orange of her racing suit looking natural on her body. The ability of the other villainess to look good in anything was something that always made Changeling a little jealous; nobody had a right to look that good in primary colors, but somehow ROY pulled it off. It didn’t hurt that she had expensive tastes; anything that cost as much as a small house had better look good on her.
It was a moot point, anyway; the only primary color Changeling was concerned with was the one genetics had stuck her with; red. And now, done flinging herself about like a ragdoll, Chae was perched on the top of the fence surrounding the hospital roof - an attempt to stop jumpers, Changeling supposed, not that it would matter if they were really determined. It was always more fun if her prey was alive when she found them, anyway - there was no thrill in being a vulture, although they certainly looked threatening enough to make her give it a try a time or two, purely for aesthetics.
And speaking of aesthetic, ROY was smirking at her. Changeling turned her attention from the curve of her suit to what she was actually saying, unapologetic in her leering. “Sister? Won’t have to worry about her for much longer, don’t fret. Nobody’s going to steal your green colored thunder.” Changeling shot back, condescending coloring her voice as she crossed her arms, leaning against the low wall a few feet to the side of where Chae perched. Sister! As if. Although they did, technically, have the ‘same’ father...in a sense...it seemed like they were closer to twins, if anything. The most terrible kind of duality any set of twins had to deal with, she was certain.
“I can’t do much about what I wear now. I’m not shaving.” She added, a certain dryness in her voice that anyone could recognize. She was red under the fur, too, her skin a pigment that most people only saw when their skin broke. And speaking of; “I’m not here for dinner; there’s no fun in hunting the weak and elderly...except the interesting screams you can get out of them, but I’m not that bored yet. Hunting asthmatics and geriatrics isn’t very...stimulating. I’ve got much better ways to occupy my mouth.” Her smirk was broader than ROY’s, and much more toothy, another quirk of her genetics that meant she could hardly blend into a college age crowd like some of her team. Face and ROY could both disappear with just a thought and a change of clothes; she was not so lucky, and so tended to wear her abnormalness on her sleeve.
Her eyes roved over ROY’s balancing act as the shape shifter spoke, lingering here and there, though she knew very well what she looked like. “Tell me about her. The green one.” Changeling moved now, pushing herself off of the wall and walking closer to ROY, one hand wrapping casually around the smaller super-human’s ankle when she got close enough, thumb running over the bump of ankle-bone as her other hand linked fingers through the chain fence, metal clinking as she put some weight on it.

"Oh, come now, you're so interested in that sister of yours, and not in me?" The orange clad woman's voice is so droll and bored, as her costume warps, a pair of stiletto heels as she turns her simple shoes into something more fitting, the racing suit shrinking away, leaving porcelain pale flesh exposed on her legs, as her outfit becomes a - still bright orange, but mixing in pinks and greens - overly short-short skirt and crop top that was more cropped than topped, that would not look out of place at a rave in the middle of the night, instead of the middle of the day on a hospital roof, the racing helmet turning into a bright red choker with golden-yellow spikes, around her neck, "I'd almost feel unloved, if I wasn't disgusted by the idea of your mouth near any lips of mine, with what your diet consists of."
The long, bright neon orange hair hung down to her waist, freed from its helmeted confines, and she ever so gently kicked the arm that was grabbing her by the ankle off, as stairs formed underneath where her feet dangle, the girl hopping up from her 'seat' on the fence, as she strutted her way down the steps, not saying a word to answer the red woman's questions as she did it, instead enjoying, basking in, soaking up the attention and glares of the woman she was far too unafraid of for her own good. It didn't matter if the attention was because she looked good, or because someone wanted answers, attention was just that.
She did finally come to a stop though, twirling on her toe to face the red Logan, "What do you want to know? Her favorite food? Maybe her cup size? I mean, my constructs got to feel a little of it, I think she miiight be bigger than you. Ooh, maybe you want to know what perfume she wears? I can tell you right here and now that it wasn't strong enough to cover up elephant smells, at least." Her fingers played with her hair, twirling the long neon locks, as she snarked at the other woman, her tone more bored than anything.
"Well, there's the fun thing to say too. Don't tell your sister I said this, but I am pretty sure she loves me. Oh, the poor Green Logan, so foolish, with such a sweet heart to steal. I'm proud of myself for it, really, even if I know it wont ever go anywhere. Just an absolute shame, is it not?" Words: 430 Tags: Athena 'Shift' Logan

“You’re old news, sorry to break it to you. She sounds much more interesting.” Despite the so-called apology in her words, Changeling did not sound the least bit sorry. A pinched look grew on her face as Chae’s powers flickered and swayed, light flowing gracefully to re-form as the other woman willed it. The outfit wasn’t the most outrageous thing Chae had ever worn, but it got Changeling’s attention all the same; all that skin, bared just for her eyes...well, it was an attention-grabber, and it worked. The choker’s bright red made the possessive beast that lurked within her purr in contentment; my color! Mine! it said, proud.
“Don’t be like that. I like eating other parts of you, too. I’ll even use mouthwash. Promise.” her hand slid further up ROY’s leg - ankle to calf, slipping towards her thigh when the other girl dislodged her hand and formed glowing stairs, stepping neatly down them to the hospital roof itself. Athena let the hand that had been sitting on the fence fall away from it, turning to lean against the fence instead, watching orange hair flow as Chae turned, teasing words only serving to irritate the Tyrant leader as the other villainess toyed with the terms of her request. Knowing her doubles cup size was not important...but when ROY finally told her something more interesting, Changeling perked up.
“Love? God, was she dropped on her head? She must have been, to love you.” Her words were caustic, but the furry woman’s mind was already turning. Oh, they could use this. Yes, they certainly could. Love was a weakness, a chemical con job the weak willed fell prey to; Athena might almost pity for her alternate self if she were the kind of girl to feel pity. As it was, the shifter grinned broadly. “But good news for us; I think you’re going to be paying that Tower in the bay a little visit soon.”

"Aw, fighting over me already, I didn't know you cared. Going to war, just because your sister loves me~" The girl gave a giggly laugh into her fingers, one hand of hers dramatically flipping the long orange hair, as she dramatically fell backwards - into an orange chair that formed its way under her, shaped like a large throne, matched only in size and opulence by the woman's own apparent ego, "So a big war for you? Or more of a small skirmish? Either way, maybe I'll show up to watch." Her disinterest in the idea of fighting was perhaps no surprise, with her usual attitude of not doing anything that she didn't find 'amusing' or 'fun'. She did, however, at least keep discussing her encounter - accompanied with a lazy spreading out in the throne, "Mhm. I know a few things, you know. Things you haven't even thought to ask about. And I'm almost certain it's love she has. I didn't show off or confirm anything, but she suspected who I was, obviously, and you could see that flutter of heartbreak in her eyes. I almost wanted to stop fighting her, and just go and hug her! Or maybe slip her some tongue." Another giggling laugh, one hand playing with the red choker, a thin trail of green forming along the bottom of it, leaving it looking very festive - half red, half green when she finishes it, the colors almost warring with each other, seemingly pushing up and down ever so slightly. "All I can say is that I think I'm running out of things to really take. Jewels, cars, clothes, tsk. And repeating myself seems like it would just be so entirely boring... " The change in subject was as sudden as her arrival, her change in clothes, and... really, just about everything else with the woman, her expression seeming genuinely excited as she kept talking, "You think you'll be into doing anything besides the whole 'tall, red, and monstrous' routine? I hear that new Alice movie isn't quite as terrible as the last one was, and was thinking I might sneak into a movie or something. Her legs kicked up, a little foot rest appearing under them as she spread them out, twirling her hair and looking soo needy and attention starved. "Maybe I'll take that green one out, so you can go mess up her Tower, and I can both be useful and have a bit of fun for once?" She is quite obviously trying to make the red woman jealous, as she openly complimented the other Athena, a glint of mischievous energy in her eyes. She couldn’t make Chae fight - though she was a formidable fighter, her powers giving her an extraordinary upper hand, when she brought them into play, she didn’t have much compunction about using them against allies, like pushy Tyrant leaders, who tried to make her fight someone who was annoying them. She’d found that out the hard way in their own home universe; the rainbow-cloaked alien did what she wanted to, whether that was dancing at a nightclub while the other half of the city burned, or kicking butt in a street-wide brawl. Just because she couldn’t control something didn’t mean she didn’t want to; humans were funny like that, and Changeling, for all she detested it, was still human. “She can have you. You’re more of a pain in my ass than anything else.” The shape shifter retorted; untrue, but it felt satisfying to say.
Her hands moved down to pluck the communicator at her waist from its’ clip on her belt; still talking, she flipped the device around in her hands, a nervous habit that she’d developed over the years - partially to have something to do with her hands, partially to make sure she still had the communicator with her, after a rash of them breaking or getting stolen. Either just a streak of specific bad luck, or the universe laughing at her; Athena wasn’t sure which. “Big war or a small skirmish, you’d get her attention if you started throwing your constructs at her. You’d get everyone in that Tower looking at you if you managed to hit it.” It was a blatant hook to try and get ROY interested in joining in on the fight; if she was so interested in this green version of herself, then Changeling would use that. She knew she was interested in Chae; it made sense her counterpart opposite would be, too, even if she was being stupid about tossing her heart around.
Said interest was perked - and Changeling distracted from her plotting - when ROY brought up...asking he on a date? The shape shifter blinked in confusion, side-swept by the notion, blank surprise turning into flat annoyance as Chae mused aloud about taking her - other her - out as a ‘distraction’. Yeah, right; she knew what the multi-colored girl got up to with her ‘distractions’; they’d been late to more than one team meeting because of them before. Possessiveness rearing its’ head, she wondered bitterly if she should have said that Shift could ‘have’ Chae after all. “Absolutely not.” She glared at the relaxed villainess, striding up to the glowing throne, ornate and huge - her scowl more pronounced when she caught sight of the new bi-colored choker. “It’ll be easier to just kill them right off, even if it wouldn’t be as fun as watching them on the run.”

The beautiful woman, quite suddenly, stood up from where she was, a bubble of red energy around her, her hair changing to the same exact coloration - the red energy violently expanded around her, especially at where Changeling was getting up in her face, "By my own grace, you are so obsessed with your stupid war, your dumb own desires that you can't even see if anything isn't what you'd expect." She looks like she's going to bite Changeling's head off for a moment, until suddenly the red hair shifts to green, and she falls back into her seat - now similarly green, and less... ornate, more of a recliner. The anger apparently gone as soon as it had come, and the girl seeming none the wiser about it even happening, paying it no mind.
"You know I don't like these kinds of fights. I don't like to do the whole 'squishing our enemies' thing. I mean killing is kinda wr..." She trailed off, and bit her lip, sighing softly as she closed her eyes, "It's boring, you know. I like having fun, not... that. You really should learn to cut loose in a way that doesn't ruin your ability to do it again." She brushed down some hair that had been frazzled by her outburst, a green brush that moved itself through her hair. She was certainly acting a little different from ROY, at least in some ways - the major one the use of the Green light of Willpower, one that the woman rarely utilized, when the Orange Avarice was much easier for her to channel.
She had certainly been gone for awhile since coming into the universe, and why she would choose to steal a rainbow assortment of goods was still a question that would need answers. Or not, but either way, the girl starts to float - still in her chair- as she rubs at her temples, "I think I might just take off and go find something more interesting than this, if it's all we're going to talk about.

ROY was the only person Changeling knew who would curse by their own name. It would have made her laugh on most days - right now, the fact that the diminutive alien was cursing at her was more of an issue. Chae wasn't very big, but her temper was something to be wary of - when she got mad, really mad, it was a thing of terrifying beauty, like a forest fire or a tornado. It was a good thing for the Tyrants (and the surrounding city) that she didn't get mad easily or often, unlike...well, a lot of the villains Athena knew, including herself. And speaking of herself...what was this that ROY was talking about, not seeing things she didn't expect?
The harsh, red light faded to an unusual color for the Tyrant; green. Chae had plenty of willpower, but it still wasn't a color Changeling was used to seeing on her. Not after...well. Not after they'd 'adopted' her into the team, at least. Scrubbing a hand along the side of her face as if in thought, Athena checked to make sure ROY's flare of power hadn't singed off any of her fur. She didn't think that could happen, but who knew with aliens? And the tiny Tyrant had certainly looked angry enough to do such a thing the old fashioned way, before she'd seemed to deflate back onto her chair. It was green, like the rest of her power that flickered around them now, the hard-light brush combing through the villainess's hair, the simplified chair almost cozy-looking as Chae leaned back into it and relaxed into the brushing.
"I supposed you have a point. Having someone to play with is much more fun than just ruling over corpses." Changeling admitted, relieved that ROY didn't seem intent on punting her into the next county anymore - or leaving, herself, for that matter. "We can do something else. The rest of the team can work on these pitiful heroes without us for a while - you know you're more fun than any of them combined, anyway." Athena aimed for 'charming', something the Teen Tyrant mostly did via lots of compliments and a decrease in bloodshed in her immediate vicinity. More than seeing her double's heroic little green head on a pike, the fuzzy villainess wanted to keep Chae around. She was the cutest powerhouse the Tyrants had, and the other perky bits of her weren't that bad, either.
