Most people didn't hang out in trees, especially not in the winter.
Most people didn't doze off in said tree, even if they were there.
Alas, he had somehow been able to ignore the wind long enough to fall asleep. It was a quiet corner of the park, with several trees. The one he was perched in still managed to cling to some brown leaves, providing just enough cover that people didn't stop and stare. Not that he would have removed himself if they were, he probably wouldn't have moved unless some cop or something walked up and told him he couldn't do that, like some sort of homeless person.
Griffin certainly wasn't a homeless person. Despite the lack of a haircut and need to shave, his clothes were tidy and clean. He didn't smell. He just currently looked a bit strange to those who could see him. However, he shifted to one side, and began the process of himself becoming visible to several more people. Unfortunately, that wasn't a side in which more branches were available. He found himself waking up as he slid out of the tree and landed, quite painfully, on his side. Now several people could see him, and there was a small bunch of people who walked past, staring as they carried on with their evening walks.
One mom even pulled her young daughter in closer, as if he were going to bite.
If only she knew who the real threats were.
Griffin rolled his eyes, rolling over and moving so he was sitting at the base of the tree. He tugged at the woolen cap he had placed over his head, thankful that he had bought it. He drew his dark woolen jacket in closer, drawing his knees up to his chest. He looked strange, yes, but it could have been worse. He could be dressed in that ridiculous outfit he adored - the Changeling one. He sighed slightly as he dug into his pockets to find a pair of fingerless gloves. Fingers or not in the fabric, it was a bit colder out than it had been when he had fallen asleep about half an hour ago. Or, at least it seemed like it had dropped in temperature.
"Stupid trees. What's the use if you can't sleep in them?" he asked himself softly, smirking a bit. A strange statement, yes, but he didn't care. Griffin rested his head back against the bark, closing his eyes and sighing once more. That had not been a pleasant way to wake up, and he almost would have preferred somebody walking over and bothering him until he did so. He rubbed his hands together to create some more heat, scowling slightly.
He was going to be sore in a couple of hours.
ooc;; Sorry if it fails. XD

Chione had been enjoying a nice walk. Ok... Maybe it was a little different from the fire and brimstone, but he still enjoyed the cold, even if others of his kind didn't. He didn't wear the bandages on his head, like he did on All Hallow's Eve,where he had met a renegade demon, invading the human-realm. He didn't wear the cloak he did on that night.
He even didn't cast his demonic aura out, that most wouldn't sense, but still feel bits of fear.
No today, he walked around in a red t-shirt with a black-slash design on the front. Yes, a t-shirt.
And then moving down, he wore tighter type jeans, but not suffocatingly tight, that loosened out at the knees, where two big holes, one on either knee, ripped to half-way down his shin.
His whole body seemed to be in shape, with lean, but powerful arms, and a slim set shoulders. He wasn't a brawler, but he could deal a hit. It was obvious that he hit the gym at least a few times.
The thing that didn't really fit him. He didn't have the looks of one, or the short breath of one, but a lit cigarette stuck out of his mouth.
"What the-" he half said, as a body fell out of the tree in front of him. Was he dead? no he was stirring but... "Hey buddy, you alright?"

He was caught in the act, he knew, but this was different.
His cheeks blazed a bright shade of red, obvious even beneath the sometimes reddened skin of someone who has been outside too long. Even if he would most likely never see these people again, he was quite flustered when one spoke to him. Some crazy guy, wearing a t-shirt. Who wore t-shirts in December, anyways? Griffin tugged once more at the gray hat before looking up, smiling sheepishly. His cheeks hadn't paled in color as he spoke. "Um, yeah, I'm fine."
After a moment, he frowned slightly. This guy didn't look like someone to be messed with. His brow creased, and he slowly brought himself to stand up. The guy was taller than him. Add that to the obvious muscle? He shook his head, why did he always do that? Most normal people didn't run around picking fights or anything like that. It must have been the Titan side kicking in, or just some sort of paranoia. He couldn't remember sizing up Jazz the first time he had met her, but then again, she had punched him in the face within the first five minutes of their meeting...
He winced slightly at the thought of the girl punching him, before shrugging it off. He regained a slight bit of his ego back as his cheeks faded to their normal tone. He wedged his hands into his pockets and shrugged once more, glancing down. "I've had better days, but I'm fine. Uh, thanks, I guess."

"That's good" he said, watching the little guy, he didn't look like much, but there /was/ something about him. "Wouldn't want you to be injured from a little fall like that." he said. Stretching his hands to reach behind his head, cupping them behind it, and looked at the sky. "Looks like it might be a bit of heavy snow-fall later, huh kid?" he asked, using the term kid in a non-offensive term. Kid being what he called most humans until they garnered his respect, or he learned there name, for the fact that all but a very few humans were older than him, as he set at an appearance of a 17 year old, but in actuality he had lived maybe 90 some years of existence.

Griffin chuckled softly. If only this guy had seen some of the situations he'd gotten himself into, then maybe that remark would have been amusing to him, also. He crossed his arms, nodding slightly at the remark about snow. What was it lately with him being outside and talking about snow? Maybe it was just the time of year, but he didn't remember normally having to run around in the freezing wetness this early. "Probably." He would've mentioned something about certain Supers who could be able to see if it would snow, but that would make him suspicious.
Not that he hadn't attracted enough attention to himself, or anything.
He glanced at the guy, still amazed that he was able to run around without a jacket or at least a long-sleeved shirt. And had he said kid? He hadn't been called that in a while, after all, he didn't normally strike up conversation with strangers. And most of them were younger than he was. Maybe he did look like a teenager, not saying that twenty was really very far beyond those years. Griffin nodded slightly, his gaze checking the sky once more. "I'm Griffin. Not that you need to know or anything, but yeah." Some more of that minute nodding, and he smiled faintly.
