Several security guards the pair had encountered were complete morons.
It wasn't difficult to get out of a police station, not with Spencer's illusions, yet alone one with electric fences and bars over the window. Liam was clever and strong enough to take down most of them, and only one was needed in order to give them the chance to slip out. They'd gotten caught for some sort of robbery, and Spencer had gotten out of the holding cell in the station. Liam had been instantly placed in a higher security cell to prevent escape, but her twin came to her aid and she was smoothly transitioned away. They didn't get caught very often, but they didn't always get away with everything. Even when they did get caught, there were easy ways to get out.
Thus, the brother was able to be relaxing tonight. He had made sure to quickly change his clothing, there was nothing more obvious than the suit, and stood upon the roof of an office building. He had decided to wander about, and not as nearly as agile and coordinated as his sister, it had proven quite a challenge when he had taken to the rooftops. Luckily, there were always fire escapes and elevators to help him out when he hit a dead end. He had a feeling that he knew some of these rooftops well already, but there was no pain in becoming even more familiar with them.
He pushed a chunk of hair from his face, sighing, as he leaned forward onto a horribly constructed surface. His elbows rested on the metal bars that served as a low fence, and he pushed his weight against it. It remained still for several moments, before he found it sliding slowly. By the time he straightened up, the nearest metal post began to drag itself out of its poorly-made foundation. The calm from moments before quickly turned into frantic fear as he propelled himself backward. He landed on his back, quickly rolling backward to rest in a crouching position. "Holy crud..."
The bar tumbled to the ground, setting off a few car alarms. He could hear a faint scream. Spencer remained sitting, eyes wide. A smile flickered across his face, almost amused, but then the problem sunk into his mind. "That should not have happened. At all," he muttered to himself as he straightened up, tugging at the ends of his windbreaker jacket. He frowned slightly as he took a few steps closer, forcing himself not to near the edge of the roof too quickly.
They had just busted out, and he was already breaking things.

Diana had been walking around that night without the smart-ass Keon hanging around her neck and she was enjoying her freedom. She was rarely able to go out without him tagging along and luckily he had decided it was too cold to go out and stayed behind at her house. She was walking by an office building when suddenly a piece of a fence fell from the sky.
Diana screeched in surprised and looked up at the roof of the building wondering how it fell. She looked back at the fence then back to the roof and her curiosity got the best of her. She ran around to the side of the building and began to climb up the fire escape, thankfully the building wasn't too high and she was able to get to the top without any trouble.
She slowly peeked over the side of the building and spotted some guy standing near the edge of the roof, trying to hid himself from the view of everyone below. Diana smiled and slowly tried to climb onto the roof without making any noise, but with her clumsy feet she tripped over herself and fell to the floor with a small yelp.

He probably wouldn't have noticed her had he not heard her stumble and freak out.
Spencer whirled around, eyes wide once more. Was he getting caught breaking property that didn't belong to him? Had it landed on someone or something? He frowned slightly, trying to come up with some excuse as to why he was up there. He didn't want to admit that he had broken it! Especially not if somebody had actually gotten hurt, which he was rather paranoid of. Theft and murder were two different things, not that the building had been very high in the first place. His fingers fumbled together as he quickly tried to stutter out something. "I-uh... I'm not... Umm... I-it's not... Erm." He paused, taking a breath before regaining his computer slightly. Even though it was night, his cheeks still blazed a bright shade of red. He finally managed to blurt out an entire thought. "I didn't mean to!"
He quickly turned away, forcing himself not to bring his palm up to his forehead. So much for not admitting anything. Spencer frowned slightly, slowly turning back to face the girl. It was then that he remember that she had fallen, or stumbled, or something. "A-are you okay?" he asked, tilting his head to one side and taking a step closer to her. The frown deepened for a moment before relaxing. His brow creased and his cheeks darkened with color once more. "Sorry about... yeah..." He glanced down sheepishly.

Diana groaned and slowly straightened herself up, looking at the stuttering guy and softly laughed. "Yeah I'm ok, but..... what are you doing up here?" She dusted off her pants, trying not to make herself look any more retarded, and slowly walked over to the edge where the fence had fallen off. "How did it fall anyways?"
She looked back at the guy with a disarming smile, hoping it would make him relax a bit. She wondered what he was thinking about and was tempted to try and get into his head, but scolded herself for even thinking of it. Diana didn't like using her telepathic powers since she couldn't stop them when she wanted to.
She looked back down at the fence and wondered if she would be able to get it back up onto the roof. She drummed her fingers against the roof's edge and quickly glanced back at him, wondering how he'd react to her powers.

Spencer frowned slightly. He didn't answer the first question. Who would honestly not think he was crazy if he actually gave the back story? Or who would get freaked out? He shrugged that thought off and glancing down. "I have no idea. All I did was lean against it." He paused, thinking about it for a moment. "I have a feeling that it was already falling apart or something. I don't weigh enough to break it. Not like that, at least." A brief smirk flickered across his face at the thought of him being large and heavy enough to actually force the fence away, or having super-strength and doing so.
"So, what are doing up here?" he asked after a moment of silence, that smirk once again finding its way back to his face and creeping into his voice. She hadn't been there before he had accidentally knocked the fence off of the roof. He finally tore his eyes off of the ground, glancing at her. His hands wedged themselves into his pockets, and he slouched slightly, making the already short fellow appear even smaller. Spencer sighed slowly, his eyes sliding to where the fence had been before landing back on Diana. His voice dipped, the comment directed at himself as he frowned once more. "I really hope that wasn't expensive or anything, that would be a bit of a problem..."

Diana chuckled, glancing over at Spencer, and said "Well I decided to figure out what had made the fence, that almost landed on me, fall." She smirked and looked back down at the fence and continued "And I don't think fences are all the expensive." Diana yawned and glanced down at her watch.
"Wow it's already midnight? I didn't know it was that late." She sighed and slowly sat herself down, being careful not to fall again and make a fool of herself. She let her legs dangle off the edge and leaned back, propping herself up on her arms and looked up at the sky admiring it's dark beauty.

He smiled sheepishly. "Heh... I didn't mean to knock it over or anything..." He glanced down, his cheeks blazing. The cost probably wouldn't be too much of an issue, he decided, but it wouldn't be a welcome guest for him and his sister. Had more people been seriously disturbed? He didn't need any more attention drawn to him. If any of these people could identify him as Magicman, they'd be calling in the Titans, and it would be a whole mess. A mess that he wouldn't have his sister to clean up for him, like every other sticky situation he had ever gotten into.
Besides when Liam broke her leg.
But that was different.
He tilted his head slightly to one side, his brow creasing. "It is? Really?" Sure, he knew it was night time, but one wandering path had led to another. He too sat down, a few feet away from the girl. He flashed a smile for a moment. "I'm Andr- Um, Spencer, by the way." The slip-up was minor, hushed, but still existed. He had reeled off his full name to countless people recently, especially since he was being incarcerated. Not that he would have told someone who was a Titan his full name, but the police needed it. And if anything ever happened for him to lose his powers, he wanted to have documentation to prove they existed. He glanced down, embarrassed once more. "Well. Call me Spencer, I mean."
