He peered over the tops of the clothing racks, a smirk lighting his face. There was a couple looking through the newest shipment of the latest styles, critiquing them violently as she pulled out more to try on. Some girl was pulling clothes out of the clearance section, though in a designer store, there was little likelihood that it was cheap at all. She had asked for his perspective on a dress earlier, and a shirt after that. It was a shame that she looked to be around his age, he hoped she wouldn’t be too angry. He quickly glanced back down and ran his hands over a few suit pieces, as if he were actually looking at them. He had made sure to dress in a way that wouldn’t draw attention: a dress vest over a white shirt with its sleeves rolled up past his elbows, clean tighter-fitting dress pants, and matching shoes. He could have been another spoiled teenager looking for the newest thing to wear to some sort of dinner party, and that was all a part of the plan.
The front windows had the usual mannequins, but they were in front of a large covering, blocking the view inside the store. In order to see what was going on, one needed to be close enough to the doors that they could see through the narrow rows of windows. It was a foolish decision in terms of the design of the designer boutique, and ultimately, its downfall in Jump City. Their more recently decisions had been odd – butcher shops, and other virtually uninhabited locations. This one, however, was bound to have some sort of payout. If it didn’t come merely from the coolly distant cashiers, it would come from the people who believed they had the money to afford it.
The blonde across the room looked equally as absorbed in the sweater she held between her fingers. She inspected it for several more minutes before neatly placing it back on the stack of similar clothing. A small smile slid onto her face as she picked up another article of clothing. Like the piece before it, she scrutinized it for a while before holding it closer to her. Her heels clicked on the wooden floor as she slowly made her way up to the cashier. One hand played with the chunky necklace she had put on to match the plain, solid black dress. She was in line for several minutes before reaching the cashier. She slowly placed the shirt down before tossing a curl over her shoulder and beaming as the other woman asked how she was and other stereotypical greetings. “Fine, thank you. Yes, I found everything perfectly fine. And you?”
It was then that the brunette stepped closer to his sister. They made eye contact for only a moment before the boy reached to what appeared to be under his vest. He quickly forced himself to jump up on the counter in front of the cashier, a smirk as his hand came back with some sort of gun in it. It was false, an illusion, but none of the people who gasped and screamed knew that. His voice was calm and loud as he spoke. “Attention! May I have your attention, please? I’m going to ask for your full cooperation; otherwise you may not be easily getting back to your homes for dinner. All I require is the money from the register, and from every wallet. Then you’ll be completely free to leave as you choose.”
By the time he had finished speaking, his sister had neared the door. One young adult tried to reach it, practically sprinting to the handle, but he was intercepted by a swift punch that sent him sprawling to the ground. The girl smiled down at him as she leaned against the door. She waggled a finger, and laughed as if speaking to a child. Despite this, her eyes were cold and harsh as she stared at him. “Nuh, uh, uh, you. You can’t do that.”
The Dangerous Duo was back in business.

TEEN TITANS, GO!

Jesus, what was it with these people?
Apperantly, jail and therapy weren't working at all. She knew by now - her second encounter with the brother-sister act - that the duo were either insane or extremelly close to it. And, unfortuneatly, pretty powerful. After their little would-be heist, Athena was hoping they would have given up and gone home to lick their wounds then found something else to do. preferrably something not illegal and dangerous, like what they were doing right then.
Mentally cursing her back luck, the Teen Titan took a swift head count - the guy on the floor, the employees behind the counter, and a few customers. All of them civilians, as far as she could tell. of course, to anyone looking at her, the normally green Titan would look normal, too. dark, brown-skinned and with green-brown eyes, her hair done up in a few dreads, peircings dotting her face like any other street-wise teenager. The moment she tapped a button on the side of her watch that projected that hologram, however, her disguise would be gone.
And, of course, she couldn't just duck behind a clothing rack or anything and shift into a cougar or something - nope, of course not. the dangerous duo had sprung their plan when she was in line for the cash register, which meant the shape shifter was stuck in the middle of the most open space in the store. The Titan debated letting the two get a little further with their plan; maybe she could attack one and hold them hostage when they got close enough to her.
It would be better than shifting in the middle of the store and getting shot mid-shift. her impatient, heroic-complex side demanded that she take that risk, but Athena wrestled it down and kept a silent watch on the two, ignoring the fact that the guy in line behind her was now trying to hide behind her. Vivian had been sneaking around the store trying to decide what outfits would be worth stealing, like she did every other week. But, unlike ever other week, she was now involved with a more professional robbery. She studied the pair as they went on with their plan. Vivian wondered if she should do something to stop this, but was afraid of getting caught with her own little robbery. She glanced around the store trying to think of a way she could easily get out. that's when she spotted Athena.
"Oh shit." she thought as her plan to escape was instantly pushed away. She couldn't leave now, not with Athena being here. But, it seemed odd to her that Athena wasn't making any move to stop them, then again trying to change where she was now probably wasn't the greatest idea. Vivian looked over at the girl guarding the door then to the guy on the counter, trying to think of something to do.
The only thing that came to mind was a diversion, at least until Athena could join in. She slowly back into the clothes rack behind her and shifted into her wolf-form. "God, I hope this works." she thought then bursted out of the rack and ran at the guy on the counter. But, when she reached him, instead of trying to attack him she stopped and just looked up at him, wagging her tail and spun around in circles like a puppy, praying he wouldn't shoot her.

Holy crap.
What was going on?
It was their plan. They had been in the store separately several times over the past few weeks. Where had this... this... wolf come from? Surely somebody was having a good laugh at him. The coolly confident smile on Magicman's face faltered, and his brow creased. His arm lowered slightly, despite the fact that the gun didn't really exist, it was simply an illusion. His eyes widened slightly as she charged towards him, and he bit his lip. No, this certainly had not been part of the plan. He raised his arm once more, placing his other hand on the fake weapon, and took a step back from the edge of the counter. His hands shook slightly, he'd been busted enough to know that this was not something he wanted to see when it came to a robbery.
Libra's gaze shot over, and she found her usual crooked smirk upon her face. She was prepared to jump to her brother's defense, but she wanted to see how he handled himself. After all, fighting was her specialty, not his. She glanced down to see the terrified customer who had tried to get out earlier, trying to crawl on his stomach past. Her eyes narrowed and she reached down to roughly pull him up by the collar of his shirt. She shoved him back down before her eyes lingered back on her brother and the wolf girl. He remained on the ground, possibly taking the hint. "Some people never learn. Tsk, tsk." Her eyes slid over the line of people, lingering on each face for any sense of familiarity.
Magicman was still hesitant about action, it was written all over his face.
He didn't want to shoot.
Heck, the gun couldn't even shoot.
He tore his eyes away to see the cashier placing some money in the bag. Her motions were slow and shaky, she was obviously nervous. "F-faster!" he demanded, looking back at Vivian. He was a small fellow, and if she attacked, he knew he probably didn't stand a chance. "Nice doggie," he said softly, his eyes still wide. He ignored the look of mocking amusement that he was getting from his sister. He couldn't pick up on the Titan in the crowd, especially since she didn't look a thing like she had the last time he had run into her.

Sometimes, Athena was sure that her freinds were all nuts.
This was one of the times she was thankful about it. Due to the double distraction of the guy on the floor moving and Vivian suddenly coming out of nowhere in her wolf form, the Titan felt confident she'd be okay when she ducked behind the nearest clothes rack and punched at her holowatch, pressing the button that deactivatd her hologram projection.
And then she stepped back out - now the usual green, furry, peirced superheroine she usually was when saving the day. or at least some peoples' day. The whole situation wasn't dangerous enough to warrant calling in back-up, but it was bad enough to where there might be some damage done to the store. Or maybe just the two numbskulls who had decided to take shoplifting to a new height. "Hey, dumb and dumber - I suggest you step away from the door-" - to Liam first, then to Spencer - "-and put down that gun."

Jack was currently invisible, watching what was going on. Looked like his former teammates were taking care of the duo that were from that one butcher shop. Well, this shouldn't be too hard... Then, he walked up to right behind 'Thena, and, then, turned visible, and pointed a pistol at 'Thena's neck. Then, he said telepathically, "Or...How about they NOT step away from the door, and, how about he not put down that 'gun?'"

"You know you really were a great loss to the Titans." Serenity said stepping out from the changing rooms. She had only just made it in through the back storage rooms. The store had a back door that no one even knew about anymore as there were clothes covering it now. She had only just made it in because she knew exactly how to open it and how to break in.
She took a sip form the mountain dew can she was holding. She wasn't going to let Spiri- no Ravanger's hate run everyone's life. She had been learning recently how to fight her way out of a wet paper bag, the phrase the titans had used to describe her fighting skills, and now she was working on fighting her way out of a dry paper bag. "Ravanger you really don't have to do this." she said trying to placate him as she finished off the last of her soda and let the can hang at the end of her arm between two fingers. "You really didn't."

Jack sighed. Why the hell was SHE here? Did she have more of those annoying visions of him? "Might I ask why YOU'RE here, Serenity?"

This was insane.
Where were all of these people coming from?
Liam smirked at Athena when she morphed. Of course - she should have known the animal girl was going to show up at some point. It just wasn’t a party without her, not to mention that cops didn’t have anything on the twins. She crossed her arms and took a few steps closer, her heels clicking on the wood floor of the shop. She batted her eyelashes slightly, especially when Ravager appeared with a gun held in close proximity to the Titan. Her tone was sickly sweet and she even tagged on a false giggle. “Oh, gee, I’m sorry. But, you see, I can’t really move too far. Otherwise all of these civilians could just walk away.” She paused, the tone darkening only slightly. “You know, I really like his idea. He seems to be the only one that won’t try to mess up my hair around here.”
Spencer rolled his eyes. Why was Liam so… so… He couldn’t find a word to describe it. Still, yet another figure entered to steal the spotlight. She was obviously not on the side that he was on, as she seemed to try and deter the other villain. (Ravager, that was his name, wasn’t it?) He had been a little more fixated on the fact that this simple goal was going to be much more difficult. With every Super that joined the ruckus, it became very obvious to him that it would be quite a mess to get out of. Even if three villains appeared, he would have to keep out of their way and not make himself a threat to him. After all, unlike the Titans, most villains worked alone. And most villains were greedy to a point where they would attack each other to get what they wanted.
Liam’s reaction was quite different as Serenity appeared. After all, the psychic had been there when Spencer had struck a deal with some sort of hybrid. Serenity had even warned Liam about the dangers of letting him accept, and who exactly they would have been up against. According to the sister, Serenity wasn’t half bad. After all, she wasn’t even there to turn them in to the police for the robbery they had committed a day or so before she met her. Her twisted smirk flickered with an actual smile as she tossed a curl over her shoulder.
“Well, guys, I hate to say it, but I think it’s getting a little crowded in here. I’d love to chat, since I know some of you are great conversationalists, but I think Magicman would appreciate it if I cut the chit-chat and we made our escape.”
She ignored the glares she received from her brother.
He felt that she was making an escape by interrupting, by drawing attention back to her.

The moment Athena stepped out Vivian stopped her act, turned towards her, and gave her a wolfish grin. But, it vanished the moment Ravager appeared behind Athena with a gun. A growl rose in her throat, she flattened her ears, and the fur on her back bristled.
"Let her go," she growled and she pulled her lips back into a snarl. She no longer cared about the pair that had originally started all of this and turned her back to them. She cautiously took a few steps towards Ravager and Athena, looking for an opening to attack.
