Alaire Why was all of this happening now? Was it really coincidence that Mark showed up just then? Or was he really thinking about joining the team? Most important to her were these two. Who in the world could've done this to Rena and Was he really her half-brother? Of course he was...stupid question. Jinx was his mother. How had she never thought of this before???
With one last look at Rena and a wipe of the tears on her face she stood up. At first she didn't know what she should do. She looked at the three people there with her and decided to go to Vanessa. Carefully she put one arm around her shoulders, "This will all work out somehow," she whispered to her and then turned to Mark before Serenity could reply to everything he had just said. "Mark I-I...well right now I don't think it's smart for you to be here," something about the look in his eyes lead her to believe he wasn't lying about Rena. "I promise though, that I will talk to you later when we all have clear minds," she said wiping away a few more stray tears.
She gave Vanessa one more reassuring hug then walked over to Serenity, "None of us are in the shape to sit here and argue with him right now, Just let him go and if he did this we will catch him and he will pay but we have to give him the benefit of the doubt." Alaire looked over Serenity's shoulder to the gruesome scene, she thought she was going to faint at the sight of all of the blood, but stood strong. "We'll get whoever did this, I swear to it but we can't jump to conclusions just yet..." she whispered to Serenity. It was more of a reassurance to herself, no a promise to herself.

Irazehl woke to the sound of feedback, then Vanessa's voice, coming from his right. One eye opened up and he emitted an agrivated groan into his pillow. "ugggg......piss off....." He didn't dare look at his alarm clock. He had been up til six in the morning tracking some drug cartels down. He hadn't even taken the time to change out of his fighting clothes. His green robes and clothe mask were very movement friendly, but weren't too comfortable to sleep. "Urgent at the front door, huh? This better be rediculously important." He rolled out of bed and automatically headed for the closet, rubbing the sleepiness out of his eyes with a yawn. Realizing he was already in his clothes, he shrugged and grabbed his communicator and utility belt before jumping out his window; the fastest way to ground level.
~
An abnormally large bush of kind foilage grew in a matter of seconds, 30 feet east of the front door. Seconds later a green blur fell from the sky into said bush. Irazehl popped his head out first then rushed toward the small crowd to find out what was going on. The free fall adrenaline would beat coffee anyday. He approached stealthily, trying to assess the situation without being detected, so he could have the surprise advantage on any villain if the situation called for it.
The situation didn't call for it.
"THE F%CK IS THIS!?!?!?!" He screamed, losing his 'cool' in an instant. He ran to join the crowd, though he didn't give two sh*ts about them anymore. His insides dissolved, and cold cruel realization gripped his body. The Ying to his Yang had been destroyed. His greatest adversary, a worthy rival, had been killed. He didn't know it would be like this. He felt there was nothing fate could take from him anymore, but he was wrong. He still had a sliver of hope, and her name was Rena Caranela.
He fell to his knees. There was nothing to feel. He was numb again.

Serenity felt the overwhelming urge to inflict as much harm onto Mark as possible, he was a super, he could take it. Anyone who could act so calmly when faced with a scene like the one placed before them was not normal. How anyone could look at the blank expression on the now deceased villains face could see that this was not normal. Not many would go to this length.
Then Green showed up.
She snapped around in a quick movement fulled mostly by her frustration and anger, "What the hell does it look like?" she growled turning her rage to the titan who she would normally be comforting. Yet normal had no place here on the doorstep of the tower. Not on this morning.
Sorina cooed softly finally solidifying permanently rather than fading in and out of the physical world. The people who needed her now were alive and if she was going to reach out to them she needed to be seen. "Serenity..." the dove tried to help the blond but a nasty glare from the girl in question stopped her in mid word. There was no reasoning with her currently she was beyond what help the dove could offer.
"Shut-up Sorina." she growled quickly as she turned back to Irazehl "Rena's..." she trailed off fresh tears spilling down her face, as she tried to rein herself in, "Isn't that enough?" she asked quietly raising a hand to cover her face in an attempt to pull herself together.
Nothing was making sense anymore, one moment she wanted heads to roll for this and the next she couldn't stop tears from obscuring her vision. It was all so hard to believe this was even real. Was this a vision that she could wake up from and change. It was the last sliver of hope she clung onto, she needed to believe in it or she would.... she didn't even want to think about it.

What the hell was going on?
She could smell blood, even before she landed and shifted into her human form, and even after her sight became better - human - the scene still made little sense. With the sense of a queen returning to her castle, the Titan leader moved through the crowd of supers' gathered around the front Tower pair of doors. The irony smell nearly clouded her nose, but the maroon color - black, maroon, varying colors of red - of dried blood wasn't the color that was swimming in front of the green-furred, peirceeared teenager.
Rena Blacklist - whatever they called her - was dead. Not just dead; stabbed. Stuck on the front door of her enemies' home, pinned up like a first place ribbon.
There would be an investigation. There would be questions; the Tower would be searched, all of their rooms, all of their contacts and Honorary Titans' investigated. And she, herself, Athena - ahh, she would be the first. The main suspect, no? No, perhaps not; she and Rena's animosity was legendary, but so was her and Green's fight, and he had skill with weapons that Athena did not.
But...Irazehl looked stricken, heartbroken, haunted. Not the victorious emotions of a mission accomplished. Nobody looked gleeful; at the least, they looked disgusted and upset. At worst? Well, Irazehl; Alaire and somone else was sobbing as well, but Shift didn't bother looking for them, or to comfort anyone. Her mind tuned to the serious, practical things - she hated Rena, and her death meant less annoyance, less terror for the citizens and police, less untraceable thefts.
She wasn't happy about the bloody corpse jabbed into her front door, but the death itself? No, that...that didn't hardly ripple her emotions at all.
"One of you alert the police that Blacklist has been murdered. Someone else help me get her body out of our front door.", ordered the Titan.

Today had been a great day for Nick. As TX, he had foiled about 5 heists that day. He was smirking that day...Until he saw the large gathering of people. Frowning, he flew over to them and said, "Hey, what's going o-?" Then, he saw it: Rena's dead body. First, astonishment was on his. Then... "No.....No. This can't be. THIS CAN'T BE!" Running over to the door, Nick ripped the swords out of Rena's chest. He obviously didn't want to see his secret girlfriend hanging on a door, DEAD. As her body fell down face down, he turned her back face up, wiped off any dust off her face, and, then, closed her eyes and her mouth. As tears came streaming down his face, he then gritted his teeth. Clutching Rena's body, he asked, "Who the hell did this...?" Then, standing up, still holding Rena's body, he yelled, "WHO THE HELL DID THIS?!"

Alaire Finally Athena was there. Hopefully now things would start to work out like they should. They could find out what happened to Rena and after that was done figure out what to do with Mark or Ricochet or whoever her half-brother was claiming to be now.
Then TX made it to the scene. He looked heart broken and shocked and whole bunch of other emotions with that. As he pulled the swords from Rena's body the tears came back. It was clear of those who were close to her. TX, Serenity, and Green for sure and Athena too. Who would do something like this? Crying over someone she barely knew felt weird but she couldn't help it.
Mark The leader of the Titans was there now, and another Titan for that matter. Was she going to blame him too? He sure hoped not. He really needed to get on her good side. The other Titan got the brains to take Rena down and he winced as he did. Gah, it was sick.
Alaire caught his attention. She was crying again and really felt bad for her. He knew that it wasn't smart to really get attached to these people but he had to at least pretend. Finally he walked over to her and pulled her into a "caring" sibling hug fest as she began to cry more. Hell even if he didn't care about her, he felt bad for her.

Serenity spun around in shock just realizing that Athena was there, "Right of course what would you feel about a dead body hanging on your front door." she growled irritably, Athena didn't feel any remorse either of course not, Green was shocked, Vanessa didn't like death, Sorina had seen worse, Mark over there was to worried about himself to care, and Alaire didn't even know her.
Sorina finally plucked up some courage and spoke up again, "Serenity just stop." was all she was able to get out before the blond cut her off.
Serenity's emerald eyes flashed with furry at the dove, "No I will not just stop because you said so you idiot dove," she growled at the dove who was now backing up away from her friend. She had only seen that glint in her eyes once. And it was never a good sign.
"Serenity..." but this time the voice of Nick stopped her from continuing.
The psychic turned her fury to the new comer quickly as she heard his cries, "Do you think we'd still be here if we knew?" she growled, letting her frustration out on him at the moment everyone was a mess. But there was some part of her that was relieved. It was hidden at the moment but she was glad at least someone other than herself cared about Rena, and would mourn her loss. The person behind the mask would at least live on in someone else other than herself. Although at the moment her sharp words didn't show that.

Irazehl ignored the voices and faces around him; he just couldn't really care about, well... anything, right about then. The people around him seemed so alien. It just seemed... impossible. The world had suddenly become confusing again. "Its not fair..." He grumbled to himself, frustrated. "How could this have happened?"
He stood up slowly and shrugged in defeat. "what next?" he thought to himself. "just keep breathing." he answered silently. He slouched and headed for the still blood stained door, still paying no mind to the noises around him he gripped the handle, aware but uncaring of the blood that got on his hand. "If you need me...." He paused, with the door half open. He realized he didn't want to be disturbed. "deal with it yourself" Shaking, but still with a nuetral expression, he reentered the tower. He allowed the door to swing shut behind him, sealing him off from them and officially exiting the thread.
Moments later, a frustrated scream sounded from inside the tower, which was soon followed by the sound of one of his flower vases shattering.

Vanessa had been standing for quite some time now. She wasn't crying, and she was working to keep herself from shaking. Her hands were balled into fists. Her eyes were wide as she watched as a wide array of emotions slid onto every new face that came. Green was angry, distraught. He seemed like a child who had just discovered his favorite hero was a fake, and Santa didn't exist, on the same day. Her eyes softened slightly at his disappearance. Athena seemed completely apathetic. In fact, she even suggested somebody alert the authorities of Rena's death. Nick was even more upset about Rena's passing than Green, especially as he pulled her body down. He looked like he had lost the love of his life, a look that Vanessa knew all too well from personal experience. Her brow creased as she watched silently for several moments.
"Shift, I will, in a moment."
Her voice shook slightly as she began to move closer to the door, however, she stopped before going to enter the Tower. She moved in closer to Nick. Vanessa sent a glare at Serenity's answer to his shouting, now was not to time to lose your cool. It was almost uncharacteristic of Vanessa, but she couldn't help it. It seemed like this home was becoming what the last had become, and she wouldn't allow that to happen. She placed a hand on Nick's shoulder, her voice lowering.
"I know you're upset. And you'll want to kill me for saying this. T-trust me. You'll want to punch me until I bleed or something. I would have decked anybody who told me it was okay when... when..." She paused, unable to say his name. "When somebody I loved died. But revenge is never the answer. We'll have a funeral. Everything. B-but right now, please, don't get mad at anybody's insensitivity. Don't try to do anything except stay put. It's not what we need. We need strength." At the last one, she cast another glance at Serenity, softer than the heavy glare from earlier.
She squeezed his shoulder before walking around the Tower to make her way inside. She couldn't stand to be around it much longer. She hadn't even made it in the front door when the sobbing started up again, and she reached one hand to the wall for support.
She sighed.
What was she doing?
This was not what she had wanted.

Serenity winced slightly at Green's cry of agony. She hadn't known what to expect from him, he was so... him... This shouldn't have happened to them. None of them deserved this this was not fair. The dead should be respected. Not pinned up to the wall of a building.
No matter who the person was.
She had already turned by the time Vanessa had glanced at her a second time. She wished she had some sort of explosive power. It would help her eliminate her stress, if only for a moment. It would help.
"Serenity please listen."
Her blonde hair whipped around to face the dove again. The dove was going to tell her to calm down. She was going to placate her. To eliminate a threat. The same thing she would have done if it was anyone else. The same thing Serenity herself would have done. "Don't lecture me." she said grabbing the dove and holding her up to her face. "I know exactly what your going to say." she hissed dangerously her forehead flashing as she searched the future, "Now go do your job and find her." she growled and let go of the dove and turned slowly to face the shore.
"I can't talk to her you'll have to do it." she whispered and left the dove to wonder what the hell she had meant.
Serenity herself left. She wouldn't stay there listening to everyone anymore. She had people to find, spirits to hunt down.
Murderer's to kill.
