SINCLAIR, VICTORIA
r o u l e t t e
r o u l e t t e
AGE: 31
GENDER: Female
TEAM: None but her own
SIDE: Neutral-ish, may lean to the "villain" side from time to time
OCCUPATION: Owner/operator of Roundhouse
NATIONALITY: Vietnamese/Irish/German/Russian
HISTORY: When her mother discovered she was pregnant a few weeks after her bout with Slade Wilson in the ring, and then a different ring altogether, she left the place in the hands of a faithful friend and took a little vacation. No one could know why she had left, or where she was going. Veronica herself didn't know where she would go. Eventually she turned up in India, and there she had the child. Now, many would call Veronica Sinclair heartless, but that's not totally true. Instead of tossing the child on the sidewalk, she gave it to the monks for them to take care of before taking off back to America.
The girl left behind was given a name by the monks, and they eventually told her her mother's name when she was old enough to understand. At around this time, however, she was exhibiting more violent tenancies than they liked. The girl grew, learning as she went, until she took off at the age of 15. She traveled through Asia, stopping many places, and picking up many skills. These skills included different martial arts, starting with Karate, but also included stealing to survive, convincing others to help a small child, and other little tidbits like becoming fluent in 8 different languages.
At the age of 25, she returned to her mother's country, sporting one of her mother's own aliases, Victoria Sinclair. At this time, her mother was already an old woman, and was pleasantly surprised at what her daughter had become. There was a lot of words exchanged, but eventually, when it came to Veronica's last week of life, she gave Victoria all she had.
Victoria took this and started her own empire after her mother's. Roundhouse in Jump City is only one of her many establishments, but it's by far the most entertaining, which is why she stays. It helps that she had learned of her father's identity, and this city used to be one of his old stomping-grounds. Purely curiosity.
FAMILY: Mother: Veronica Sinclair, Father: Slade Wilson (unbeknownst to him)
PERSONALITY: Some would sum Victoria up in one word: bitch. That's not totally untrue. Yes, she wants to make as much money as possible, and she likes to see others suffer in the process. She's a vengeful woman, and will go to great lengths to set things straight. when straight is evening the playing-field, that is. She does not stand to be talked down to, and she will exact her revenge slowly and meticulously if she is. Some businesses mysteriously failing and the CEO becoming bankrupt before mysteriously beaten to a pulp and thrown into the river. On the other hand, she can be caring and sweet, but only if she's respected. Just don't get on her bad side, and you'll do just fine, dear.
DISLIKES: Cheaters (when she's not the one cheating), weapons in her bar
DREAMS: To be rich and powerful, and she'll get there by any means necessary.

MY PERSUASION
can build a nation
can build a nation
BODY STRUCTURE: Slender but muscular, 5'7", 135lbs
STYLE: Darker clothing, nothing too flashy out during the day. Casual but sophisticated.
PIERCINGS OR TATTOOS: None
COSTUME: Does not have a specific costume, but either wears evening dresses or leather ensembles to do business
ODDITIES: None
ABILITIES: On top of being excellent with math, Victoria inherited certain genes from her father. These heightened her senses beyond normal capacity, giving her enhanced vision, hearing, smell, taste, stamina, and strength. These are only moderately above normal human abilities, but let her really pack a punch when she needs to get someone out of her face. She's also skilled in many different kinds of martial arts from her travels over the years.
CONTROL: 8
SIDE-AFFECTS: When using the super-human extension of her normal abilities for an extended period of time, or exerting herself to an extent, Victoria's usually calm and collected nature is slowly replaced by a real raging bitch, and that's not good when you can throw a car after someone. It takes a lot longer for her to calm down, and you really don't want to see her in pure rage-mode. You won't be "seeing" for long.
WEAKNESSES: Side-affect to her abilities can make her lose control, and she puts family and very close friends before anything else. She can and will go to very far lengths to get revenge for a family member, or certain workers of hers.

INTRODUCTION:
Victoria wasn't the kind of establishment owner to sit by and watch everyone do the work. Okay, some days she was, but today she wanted to be in the middle of everything. It helped that it was a busy night and an extra set of hands behind the bar was appreciated. More people even gathered around the bar to see the Roulette doing something other than hustling all the strangers at cards, pool, or betting on the fighters in the Cage. The leather-clad bartender was quick, and gave the watchers a smug smile as she flipped and shook the drinks, lining them up on the counter before her with almost inhuman speed. The crowd finally seemed to thin, and the tip jar was close to overflowing. She picked it up with a smile and dumped it behind the counter, divvying it up into three separate piles. "Here you are, girls. Nice work tonight." Victoria handed each girl her tips, and shoved her own in a pocket.
As she was making her way around the edge of the counter, a scuffle across the building caught her eye. Taking a deep breath, she made her way through the crowd, and everyone hurried to get out of her way. One of her men was already in the middle of it, talking to the bigger of the two suited brawlers. As she got closer, the close crowd hushed and stepped back, allowing the sound of her heeled boots to reach the fight before her voice. "What's going on here?" The men looked up, and Tony, her worker, let go of the shirt of the man in front of him. "Accusations of cheating, ma'am." Roulette raised an eyebrow and looked at each of the men in turn. They both looked like honest businessmen. Right. "Either you both get out and fight it out in the street, or you can take it into the Cage, and the winner will get whatever you two bet on your little card game, on top of let's say, two hundred dollars." The men looked at each other, sizing up their opponent, before they nodded. "Alright, Tony, get them ready."
The best thing about having a ring in your bar, was exactly this. Little scuffles turned out to be excellent money-making material. Plus, it was good advertising. She'd rather have a little more power in her ring, but she would still have to continue to build up before that could happen. after all, her mother had quite the larger ring in her hayday, putting heroes against each other. It was much later, and Victoria was in the back, counting her cut of the bets at her desk. Stacks of cash sat before her, and she leaned back in her chair, carefully putting her feet up on the desk, crossing one ankle over the other. That day would come very soon. Once she got supers in the ring, the cash would be flowing. All she needed was a little push of her own little super, get her friends in here. Now that their tower was gone, they needed money to rebuild, right? Why not earn it themselves, while Roulette pulls the strings? They get their money, the spectators place their bets, and she gets her cut. Everyone's happy. Victoria smiled, lacing her hands behind her head. Soon enough.
