TEAM: Young Justice – leader and founding member.

OCCUPATION: Student
NATIONALITY: American – Caucasian
HISTORY: At only a couple months old, Joshua Wayne was left on the doorsteps of the Wayne Manor by his mother, who couldn’t support two children. He was then taken into the custody of the Wayne family and raised by his biological father, Bruce Wayne. Growing up he was quite shy, often clinging to his father’s leg. He grew up knowing children of other League members, including his best friend and current second in command Travis Kent. At the age of eleven, he was introduced to his family’s dark secret and joined the Batfamily, despite his father’s worries, as the latest Robin. As Robin, he would get into trouble a lot, often dragging Travis down with him. He was always obedient to his Dick - the current Batman - however, and even at that young age showed protective instincts when it came to his friends. A couple weeks after he became Robin, Josh was kidnapped by Gregory Kishie. While kidnapped, he met the man’s ward, Ishi Daggle. He has never spoken to anyone about what had happened during the one week Gregory had him, but the wounds and marks on him made it obvious to his family. After a week of being missing, he was returned to the Wayne Manor’s doorstep like he had been when he was a child. He was found shivering from the cold and his own fear by his father. After that it took a couple months for his father to let him make a return as the Boy Wonder. After he was kidnapped, he became secluded and rebellious. When he wasn’t on patrol or with his family, he locked himself in his room, keeping the lights off and huddling in a corner, crying. He started to argue more with his brothers and father and a couple times disobeyed Batman’s orders, which usually resulted in him getting hurt and needing a rescue. At the age of thirteen, Joshua ran away to Coalfield in California. He quickly ran into Rider’s Deck, the once villainous team, and fought against them as Robin. After getting defeated a couple times by the team, he decided to start his own team. He chose to bring back Young Justice, a group of teenage heroes like himself. When making the team, he first turned to Travis and then to his friend Kenna Prince. For the other members, he contacted children of Leaguers and asked them to join. A couple members, including Ken Prince, he met while on a mission and asked them to join. For almost a whole year the team fought against Rider’s Deck and other minor villains in Coalfield. That all changed when Nebula rolled in. The fact that Gregory Kishie was openly the leader of Nebula disturbed Joshua greatly. With a common enemy, both teams made peace with one another. He led Young Justice alongside Rider’s Deck in countless battles against Nebula. When the town was hypnotized against him and his team and it was obvious they were fighting a losing battle, he never backed down. However, the young leader and his team were forced to flee a few seconds before the town was utterly destroyed. With his teammates blaming themselves, he quickly ordered them not to and took on all the blame. In his mind he had failed to protect the town that had opened their arms to him and his team. A couple months after he turned fourteen years old, Joshua returned to Gotham. After him and his team became the official “partners” to League members, they were awarded the former Young Justice base in Mount Justice on the moon as their own. Now seventeen years old, he has taken to the streets of Jump City, hoping to help the Teen Titans as much as possible. His most recent action has been to approach the Titans and warn them after finding out Nebula possibly had their eyes on Jump City.
FAMILY:
PERSONALITY: Joshua certainly cannot be described in one word. The people he is around affect the way he will act. Around his family, he is often secluded and a loner, though he does enjoy spending time with them. He often feels depressed and like an outsider around his family, believing he doesn’t really fit into the Bat-family. He feels as if he is constantly living in his father’s shadow, struggling to get out a make a name for himself. Since he ran away, a part of him feels as if he has let his father down. The destruction of Coalfield has also caused him to feel like he has let almost everyone in his life down. When working by his brother’s side as his latest partner, or sidekick, he has been known to be very obedient, but also questions orders a lot. He is rebellious and stubborn as well as thick-headed. When around teams he doesn’t know all that well like the Teen Titans, he tries to give off the vibe of a good, strong leader. He wants others to think he has no problem leading his team. He wants to give off the impression that he knows one-hundred percent what he is doing. He often stands or sits up straight and shows a great deal of control over his teammates. In a way he is possessive of his teammates, hating the idea of them one day leaving his team. When around friends he has come to know real well like his teammates and Rider’s Deck for example, he can be seen as a completely different person. He is often somewhat loud and very out-going. He smiles a lot and laughs with his friends. He is a very protective person and even sometimes motherly when it comes to his friends. He tries his best to protect everyone he cares about and beats himself up, figuratively, when he fails to do so.
DISLIKES: Losing, death, killing, thinking about a world without his family, Nebula, thinking about what Gregory had done to him, when his friends get hurt, and being told he’s useless.
DREAMS: To one day retire from the life of a hero because the world no longer needs him.
FEARS: His world falling apart.
HOPES: To stop feeling like an outsider around his family.

INTRODUCTION: Joshua slipped his domino mask on, now fully dressed in his costume. The eleven year old sidekick looked over at Travis Kent, who had recently turned eleven. The half-Kryptonian looked annoyed, dressed in one of Joshua’s blue t-shirts with a small red blanket tied around his neck as a cape. Joshua just smirked at how his friend looked.
“Do I have to wear this?” Travis asked, giving Robin a frown.
“Do you want someone to recognize you and figure out your father is Superman?”
Travis quickly shook his head.
“Then yes you do,” Joshua replied, handing his friend his spare domino mask. Both their fathers and brothers had been called by the League on some urgent mission. The two boys had been left to safely entertain themselves at Wayne Manor. Something fun was rarely safe, however. So Joshua had convinced Travis to patrol the night time streets of Gotham with him.
Travis looked like he still wanted to protest. Instead he sighed and let Joshua climb onto his back, feeling the boy wrap his arms around his neck. He flew them out of the Batcave and into the dark sky. It didn’t take long for them to spot trouble. A bank alarm went off, caught by Travis’ slightly enhanced hearing. The two swerved to the bank where Joshua quickly jumped off of Travis’ back, landing on a gunman and knocking him down.
The robbers stared for a moment, utterly confused. They soon snapped out of it, though, and started firing at Robin, who tried his best to dodge the bullets. He yelped as a bullet grazed his shoulder. He heard Travis scream his codename, but then cry out as a bullet lodged itself into his side. Joshua watched as his friend hit the ground hard. He hadn't realized the boy wasn’t as bulletproof as his father.
Taking out a batarang, he went to throw it when a bullet struck the same shoulder that had been grazed. He cried out and fell back. He called over to Travis, who was whimpering on the floor. The half-Kryptonian just looked at him, eyes leaking tears. He pulled his eyes away from the in-experienced boy and glared at the robbers. They had hurt Travis, his friend. He didn’t stop to think that he had been the one to put Travis in danger. He was too angry. He forced himself to ignore the pain in his shoulder and jumped to his feet, throwing the batarang. The batarang spun in the air, hitting a man in the back of the head.
One of the gunmen, a woman, grabbed him by his cape and tossed him over to a man, who held him up by his hair. He clawed at the man’s hand, noticing too late that they had taken his utility belt away. His eyes shot open as he heard Travis whimper again, finding a woman and man kicking the young alien. He growled, struggling harder to get out of the man’s grasp. The man simply grinned.
“Aw does the little bird not want his friend to get hurt?” he laughed, throwing the boy to the ground and sending his foot into his stomach. Joshua gasped at the strength the man’s foot slammed into him with. The man kicked him again and again. He let a small whimper slip through and the man grinned.
“Robin!!” Travis shrieked as the man slammed his gun into boy wonder’s cheek. His eyes glowed red as his mind told him to protect his friend. Joshua wasn’t like him. Joshua was one-hundred percent human. The robbers could kill the boy. He tried to push himself to his feet, but felt a foot hit his back and shove him back down. Both the boy of steel and the boy wonder were on the floor, bleeding. The cops could be heard outside, talking through a megaphone. They would have engaged, but they had caught wind of the fact that the robbers now had two young hostages. So naturally they had called in the League.
