Scene 1, Act 1. Scene: Somewhere in Jump City. Characters: Griffin Darkholme, Vanessa, Jazz, Domino Love, Athena Logan, Spencer Delacroix, Liam Delacroix, Serenity Swanson, and Britain Floyd.THE AFTERMATH. It had been raining the night before. Puddles lined the streets, potholes were more of pools, and the sky was gloomy. The sun did not shine, the wind did not blow. It was silent here in Jump, almost terrifying. The streets had no one, all except a stray, hungry dog who scurried from view as JazzAnn and Griffin stepped into the shadowed area, their eyes flickering left to right. They were scared, that much was known. What had happened however, they were clueless. Griffin ran a hand through his mane before turning towards his friend, who exchanged his worried glance.
They said nothing for quite sometime.
Athena had been scurrying about as a rodent, her green fur ruffled with uneasiness. As Jazz had scooped the little mouse in her hand, the thing squeaked, her body also trembling. They weren’t sure as what was happening, and even as Serenity tried so hard to work her powers, touching cars and buildings, trying to find something, anything, there was nothing.
"Sorry, guys, I guess we're lucked out..." The blonde female spoke quietly, shrugging as she neared her friends. She kicked a pebble in her way, and Jazz sighed. Athena huddled closer, her form now shifting, her bones cracking, as the feline hissed. She sensed something, and with her angered growl, Jazz, Griffin, and Serenity gulped, turning slowly around to face the situation.
Domino.
The cat hissed, clawing at the robotic female. her fake skin was scarred, her eyes uneasy just the same. She moved a piece of bang from her face, her jaw crooked before she spoke. "The apocalypse. I would've assumed little Blondie over there would've seen it coming." She pointed her pistol at her for a moment, before lying it at her side again.
Jazz stiffened as the words echoed in her head. "... Apocalypse?" She looked up at Griffin, who wasn't too happy. He moved closer to the blonde Super, his arm reaching over towards the feline. Athena soon leapt out of her arms, Jazz crying out to stop her from attacking. And through the leap, her form shifted yet again, and before the robotic villain stood a mighty leopard, its green and black fur ruffling. She roared, loud and clear.
Domino shifted her leg back, almost in a crouch, as the massive feline leapt. She growled, too. With gun in hand, she aimed for the mighty beast. "Listen here, Shift!" She bellowed. "I'm not here to fight... I want to help. Attack me, whatever.. But remember, I know things most don't."
Shift had backed down, fur still ruffled, hackles aroused. She sat her haunches upon the moistened tar of the road, her head soon rolling towards the others. Griffin shook his head. "Don't waste your strength, Shift. She's a cyborg, what good will it do you too attack something stronger then even Jazzy?"
Jazz nodded soon after, wiping her bangs from her face before tucking her hair behind her ears. "Domino, I really don't think you can do anything for us. Haven't you already caused enough trouble? Look at Jump! Its ruined!" Her arms were splayed, her eyes flashing with anger.
Yet Domino only shook her head and snorted. She soon wiped her nose and kicked at a piece of rubble. Jazz crossed her arms as Serenity moved closer, taking a hold of the other blonde's arm. "She's right... She can help us. With what, I can't tell... Sorry."
"You tried your best. All our powers are in the fritz right now..." Griffin noted; his voice low.
Serenity shrugged, before turning around and pointing towards the other end of the roads. There were three... No, four figures moving forward. They, too, seemed almost nervous and upset at what happened. Jump was their home. Vanessa had begun to run up towards the other Titans, moving besides Serenity with a hug.
To Griffin's surprise, Britain was the next, his hand held out for Griffin to shake. "I know we were once foe, but I would like to make it up. Just until we get this figured out, Griffie." There was a slight smirk on his face, and Griffin couldn't help but do the same. He shook Brit's hand.
Spencer and Liam were limping towards them. "Hey... What is she doing here?" Spencer growled, tossing his head in Domino's direction. Athena growled yet again. Liam wasn't too pleased to see the cyborg either, yet made no comment. She merely snorted and rolled her eyes. "I thought she ran away like the wimp she is..."
"Spencer, shut up!" Liam urged in a whisper to her brother. He only grumbled and shifted as he clung to his sister. The two had ended up badly bruised, with blood stained upon their clothing and faces. Jazz shot them a glance before returning it to the cyborg female.
Domino laughed. "I really don't think you have the strength left in you to do anything. Your powers have been immobilized. The government had dropped a bomb on Jump to get rid of our Super powers. It didn't go as planned. If you haven't noticed, which I doubt you have, there is so few people left anymore. We need to find shelter and get food before we end up killing each other." She moved forward, and the line of villains and Titans tensed up. As she pushed her way past Serenity and Vanessa, she began to move. Shotgun in hand, pistol shoved in its holster, she rested the shotgun upon her shoulders, calling them forward.
Exchanging glances, they followed, slowly.

Scene 1, Act 2. Scene: Somewhere in Jump City. Characters: Griffin Darkholme, Vanessa, Jazz, Domino Love, Athena Logan, Spencer Delacroix, Liam Delacroix, Serenity Swanson, & Britain Floyd.THE AFTERMATH. Domino had kept her pace even. Her stride, though long, was steady. And noticing the limp the twins had certainly had an impact upon her humanoid emotions. She allowed minimal rest, at which the more healthier, less damaged Supers were to gather more supplies. The robotic female would soon hurry them along, a little quicker with each break. She couldn't stop for long. The streets and their lights were blinking, dimming, dying out. Cars would not start. Buildings would not light. And yet, through the rubble and darkness, Domino had managed to keep the small team together.
Although, trouble began between the twins.
Liam had broken her leg, although years ago, it had not been healed fully. After the massive termer when the bomb had struck the city, she had sprained it yet again. Spencer had to slow his pace, and seeing his light limp as well, Domino forced herself going. "I know it hurts, you two, but we have to keep going. And I mean it! If we stop now..." She paused, surveying the area as she leapt upon the slab of a building. "Then, well, we might as well stay here in Jump. There's a place, we can go, but... Only if you're willing to travel far." She craned her neck, looking at the small group.
All looked quite sickened and worried, even more-so then before. She sighed, sliding down the rubble and moved forward. "Well? Are we just going to stand here and lollygag all day or are we going to try to find somewhere safe?" She was impatient at this point.
Jazz spoke softly, clinging onto Griffin's arm. "We'll go... But in good time. Give us a rest. It'd been almost ten hours since our last break. We're tired and hungry. Their legs hurt." The blonde girl pointed towards the struggling twins. "If you haven't noticed, their wounds are much worse. They need some mending before we can go on. We'll find shelter an abandoned building..."
"All of these buildings are abandoned. The last group of humans left by foot. And now, we follow them." She was almost in a mocking bow, before wheeling around and continuing on. Jazz's brows were knit in fury, and said nothing more. Griffin had managed to keep her from saying anything stupid. Yet Jazz's face showed all she wanted to say. Serenity was soon helping the two limping twins, keeping a hand on their backs and she slid between them. She was shorter then they were, yet she managed just fine.
Athena, at this point, had morphed into a giant mammoth, allowing them safe passage through the city without a limp. As they wobbled forward, sliding onto her massive green back, they sat still, taking careful hold of fur or each other. They needed balance riding upon such a massive creature. Athena let out a light trumpet moving closer to the group while trying her best not to step down on the wrong thing.
Britain kept himself in the back, his eyes more clear to his surroundings, acting like the watchman. he had to keep himself from falling over Jazz and Vanessa, who's arms were hook together, while Serenity was now in front, her movement quicker and lighter. Jazz's eyes, too, kept watchful as she gazed around the empty space. Hardly and buildings kept standing, yet few had managed to stay put. When Jazz had pointed out an old three-story parking lot, she let out a cry.
Domino halted, turning to look at it. The lenses within her eyes zoomed in as she stepped inside. She knew she didn't have infrared, yet she managed to see no humans nor hear movement. The others watched her, bobbing their heads to see anything. As Domino's hand lifted, urging them forward, hey shuffled inside. Athena's body trembled as she lowered herself to the ground, allowing the twins to slide from her back and into the hands of Britain as he escorted them inside. Her form had shifted into a mighty mastiff, her jowls shifting left to right with her movement. She was burly, muscular now. And her movement was quicker. She could easily fight in this form if they needed it.
"So we'll stay here, then." Domino agreed. Her voice remained neutral, both unhappy with the idea of staying inside the parking lot, yet hopeful. Athena had trotted forward, curling around Serenity's feet; Britain seated the twins upon the ground, while taking a seat himself. Domino remained standing, scanning, before disappearing into the shadows. Vanessa and Serenity began coming up with different games, calling out their favorite color or song, hoping to get a match. The other joined it, all except Jazz and Griffin.
They seated themselves a little farther away from the noisy crowd, their smiles returning, though faintly, as they watched the fire Britain created light upon their once gloomy, depressed faces.
"Can you believe it? We're stuck in an old, garage-smelling parking lot, and we managed to survive an apocalypse." Griffin intertwined his fingers and tucked his knees closer to his chest. He was staring up at a few of the bats that blinked down nervously at the duo, their head bobbing and their chatters lessening. Griffin chuckled to himself, while Jazz only sighed, resting her head upon his shoulders before rubbing her nose.
"I know what you mean. I mean, its great most of us Supers survived, even though our powers are crappy at this point." She pointed towards Domino, who seemed preoccupied with something in her pocket. Jazz was chuckling too. "But still, I wish I knew where we're going. I hate surprises."
"Yeah, I know..." Griffin rubbed his nose and looked down at Jazz. She had moved a sheet of hair from her face with a quick swipe before gazing back up at the bats. They were cute little things, clicking and chirping. It wasn't until they became overly excited when Griffin and Jazz began to scream, swiping their hair as they bolted upon their feet, scurrying in circles as the winged beast swooped and gulped at their ears or above their heads.
Soon enough, they were gone, flying somewhere new.
Domino rushed forward, taking a hold of their arms as she took notice of the now terrified group. "Shut the hell up you too!" She whispered angrily, shaking them slightly. "They were calm, let's keep it that way! Sit down and rest, okay? Leave the bats alone, leave everything alone, and relax." A little furry head popped out of her jacket's pocket, chirping lightly. Jazz was slightly horrified.
"You have a rat in your pocket!" She pointed out.
"it's a ferret, you dumb broad!" Domino began to push them towards the group. Forcing them into a sitting position, they fell upon the chilled tar with a light thump. Athena was howling, her hackles roused, as she had been circling the group. Her body had lessened now more light. Her body was black and a deep green shade. Her ears were perked, and her fur was soft. She stood as a collie dog, circling her "herd" until Domino had taking hold of her by the scruff of the neck and told her to be quiet. "Look, I really don't think we're alone..."
"Well, yeah, you have a freaking rat in your pocket!" Jazz squealed, her face both transfixed on surprised and horrified as she pointed at the little mask-like face of the ferret, which tilted his head as Athena shoved her nose within his cheeks.
"Like I said, idiot, it's a ferret!" She was looking at Griffin from this point, arms like a shrug. "How can you put up with this?"
"I dunno." He shrugged, before clapping his hands together. They turned to him, all except the blonde who was staring at the ferret. He placed a hand upon her head and turned it face him. "We need to get some rest. I say we a patroll type deal. Domino and Athena can stay up for a few hours, then wake Britain and I up. Then we'll wake up Jazz and Serenity, and I think you understand the rest, right?" they nodded in unison before scooting closer to the fire. Eyes closed, one by one. Jazz's had rested on Griffin's chest, while Britain kept himself besides his dynamite stick. Serenity and Vanessa kept close, while Liam and Spencer kept each other safe.
Domino had begun her patrol, with both her ferret and Athena. She was a lion, at this point, big and burly, her fur ruffling slightly. They move to the eastern side, then northern, side, everywhere of the parking lot. No one was found, nothing was found. Domino's boot stomped upon the puddle as Athena inched away from it, before taking a drink and gagging slightly.
"You're not supposed to drink it, you know." Domino said with a roll of her eyes. Athena responded with a light growl, shaking her mane before continuing on. After every three hours before what felt like daybreak, their patrols went on, one by one, until Domino urged the team to move.
And once more, they followed the female cyborg.

Scene 1, Act 1. Scene: Somewhere in Jump City. Characters: Griffin Darkholme, Vanessa, Jazz, Domino Love, Athena Logan, Spencer Delacroix, Liam Delacroix, Serenity Swanson, and Britain Floyd.THE AFTERMATH. Domino's fears of others had drifted to the other members of the pack. The days seemed to get darker, and the nights seemed to be nothing more then blackness. It was a situation she didn't want to face, yet when it comes down to it, she'd have to turn her group around and head back to the parking lot. However, that was a twelve or so hour walk, and she was certain they wouldn't be too pleased if she forced them to a retreat. Still, she was thankful Athena was still a collie, keeping track of the others. She let her animal instincts take over most of her brain, Domino had figured. Her black-and-green form ran around the pack, nudging those who began to drift wit her nose.
They, too, were grateful.
Though as tired as they all were, they kept themselves moving. The twins were still limping, though their wounds were healing. They were the slowest of the pack, the ones who held them all back. It didn't seem to bother anyone, even the robotic female. She urged them forward, rather with brute force or wicked tongue. She wasn't about to let the dark city take over her humanoid fears. No, not this time.
"Hold on, Domino..." Jazz stopped, her voice low. Domino turned, her feet planted firmly in the ground. A hand rested upon her pistol, ready if need-be. Griffin had nearly stumbled over the blonde's feet when she had done a sudden stop. The others tensed up while Liam and Spencer moved closer to the green collie. Her fur stood on end, her lips curled into a snarl. She sensed something. Humans? No, something more. Something much more.
She let out a bark soon after, her form racing towards the alleyway, snarling and barking as the wolf bounded off. Domino watched for a moment, listening. She could see the wolf in the alleyway, though barely. The others were shivering in their spots, huddling closer as they heard the snarls of the wolf, before the scream.
Britain stepped closer to Domino, his dynamite stick at the ready. With guns, teeth, and dynamite, Domino assumed they'd be well-off. Besides, Athena could shift into a monster of the past and the monsters of now. They had nothing to fear with the three of them around. Domino lifted a hand, "You guys, stay here. Let's go, Dynamo." The two descended down towards the alleyway, where Athena stood in the entrance.
"Down!" Domino forced her in a sit, putting pressure on her haunches. She unwillingly sat with an annoyed breath, before settling down in a lying position. Domino moved forward, taking hold of the arms of the man. "Who are you, bub?" Britain asked, pulling him onto his seat. he saw the blood from his dark-colored skin. The man's his eyes were frantic as he looked around. He said nothing for a moment, collecting himself before his lips parted.
"I'm... I'm Nero.... Nero Logan..." His voice was low, his body shaking slightly. At the name, Athena's ears perked, her tail pounding upon the asphault. She let out a meow and she slinked through the legs of the people, rubbing herself against his leg. If she knew he was her broter, well, she wouldn't have bit him. Maybe her animal senses were dwindling too? She hoped not. Nero was smiling slightly as he looked down at his sister, before scooping her in his arms.
"I knew we weren't alone." Domino was smiling, running a hand through her short hair. "Join the party of misfits, hmm? It'll be much safer then sitting out here." She put out a hand, the smile still on her face. Britain nodded to him, replacing his dynamite and lighter in his pockets before smirking lightly. "C'mon. Nero Logan, huh? I think I know who you are. The technoid specialist, right? A smooth criminal?"
"Uh... Yeah, I guess so." He took her hand, and with a firm grip and a quick shake, the four of them left the the alleyway and towards the group. They welcomed him with "hello" and "how are you?"'s. And seeing as Athena sat in his arms, they were more welcoming. Liam shifted close to him, wobbling next to him as they began to move again.
"Hi. I'm Liam." She smiled. She tossed her head back, pointing at her brother. He was smiling, waving a hand as Nero looked back. "That's Spencer. He's a moron." She was still smiling, batting her lashes. Spencer was hurt, slightly. His smile disappeared, and as she limped closer to the others, he remained on the other side of Jazz. The blonde was surprised to see him at her side, and not his sister.
"Hey." She greeted. "See's your sister has someone else to boss around now, huh?" She was trying her best to make a joke. And yet, getting the few stares from Vanessa, Griffin, and Spencer, she hung her head and sighed. "Sorry, I tried."
Griffin chuckled, more to himself then the others. Serenity and Vanessa moved closer to the leader, finding the robotic female quite interesting. Nearly drowning her in questions and the like, Domino's eyes began to roll, answering each one simply and fairly. The ferret once again reemerged from her pocket, chirping as they neared the end of the road.
A chasm now stood before them, high, steep, dark and dangerous. They stopped, one by one, looking into the hole. Athena wiggled from his grasp, her tail curling around her brother neck while her human-like hands held onto his hair. The monkey was scarred, it seemed. And as she shifted closer to her brother, her head bobbing to get a look inside, she began to tremble. Cars were buried within the rubble, and what appeared to be bodies. The group was horrified, backing away from the chasm.
Loud screeches of bolts fell down upon them like a shower, and each one trying to dodge the next. They were getting forced to back up, forced into the crevice by someone, something. With the laughter of the Vultrixian, she dove down towards them, hands and eyes aglow. Her crimson stare. Athena screamed, her little form shifting as she leapt from the shoulders of her brother and towards the alien. Emberstar hovered, watching the gorilla fly towards her.
"It's good to see you here. I’m amazed you haven't killed each other yet." She tossed a sheet of black hair from her shoulder, twisting to the side as the gorilla's fist flew towards her, before landing with a thud. The others scattered, hiding behind anything. Griffin looked around, his eyes frantic as Nero rolled behind the fallen semi. Jazz, Liam, and Serenity sat behind the dumpster, watching the mayhem that exploded out. Britain and Vanessa kept close to the car, while Domino and Spencer kept themselves positioned upon the ground beneath the trailer of the semi, her hand covering his mouth, the other upon her pistol's trigger.
Athena had roared, loud and clear, her beady eyes on Emberstar. Her massive, prehistoric figure stepped forward, her bulky jaws spread to reveal her array of sharp teeth. She was more then angry that this alien had showed her face here again. She had no rights. She killed her sister, Athena's best friend. She was furious now, her jaws clamping down.
Emberstar had flipped out of the way, shooting more of her crimson bolts towards the dinosaur. "I don't think you quite understand our race, Athena," the alien growled. "We're monsters upon the battlefield. With Tammeranian blood, we're invincible." Indeed, had her own ancestors not have left to the dictatorship they were held within, and never have formed Vultrixia, Emberstar would be nothing less of a slave, if nothing at all.
Her and her sister both.
Emberstar was sitting upon the ledge of the building, her face eye level to the green tyrannosaurus, who was growling low and deep within her throat. "Don't test me. I hoped you were dead, too." She paused for a moment, her glow now relaxed. Emberstar shifted to a stand and splayed her fingers. "I learned something new the other day." she was hovering now, her body aglow. "Something I taught myself. Come on, attack me. Do it!"
Athena took it as an invite. Yet, as Domino had been rushing up the stairs and upon the roof, pistol in hand, she heard the commotion. The roar of Athena, the invite to destroy the Vultrixian princess. Domino was getting closer, she could smell the smoke outside. With a mighty kick of her boot, the door slammed open. And in an instant, the Vultrixian girl was falling upon the roof, thumping once.
Athena was a woodpecker, pecking at the Vultrixian girl's head before shooed away by Domino's boot. "She's not dead, only paralyzed. I have tranquilizer darts too, you know." She said, seeing the look on Athena's unhappy beak. Domino flipped the girl upon her back. "We need something strong, like wire." She looked at Athena, who nodded. The bird took off, her wings beating fast as she swooped in and out of windows.
The others seemed to have followed her, breaking into buildings to find whatever they could. Domino's voice was quite loud, after all, and being in an empty, noiseless space, it was difficult not to here her.
Yet, Domino knew, she wouldn't be able to keep this girl paralyzed forever.

Scene 1, Act 1. Scene: Somewhere in Jump City. Characters: Griffin Darkholme, Vanessa, JazzAnn Danvers, Domino Love, Athena Logan, Spencer Delacroix, Liam Delacroix, Serenity Swanson, Britain Floyd, Nero Logan, and Emberstar.THE AFTERMATH. There was indeed others, Domino had concluded. Paralyzed and limp, the alien attacker was tied and hanging across the shoulder of the cyborg as she pressed on. The others followed, Nero close at her heels, the GPS held tightly in hand. Crafted from the old copper wires and an iPod, he had managed to complete the transaction from music to a map. He had taught himself the magic of technology, after all. And using it to track places, telling them where to go and where not to go.
Domino was both envious and slightly annoyed.
She kept herself from reaching out to throw the thing away as the loud voice of the female machine continued to blare from the headphones he wore within his ears, pointing left, then right, north, then south. It was a bit of a labyrinth if nothing else. Domino wasn't much pleased, yet it let it slide.
As they group had continued on, their noses had begun to redden from the sudden harsh winds that blew them nearly off their feet, their hands clasped together, and one-by-one they walked. Domino had managed to keep a firm hold of the ground in her boots, while Athena as a massive mammoth walked before them, Nero upon her hairy back, had managed to inform the giant beast where to go. "To the North, then back down to the South Bridge area. There we should find a place to get through the winds."
"How long will they last, d'ya think?" Griffin shouted, hands cupped over his mouth. The dark-skinned male had only shrugged, pulling his jacket closer. They were all dressed in their winter jackets and boots, hats and gloves. They were all cold, all but Domino of course, who kept herself firm and managed to keep the alien girl from freezing.
"I'm not sure!" Nero shouted. "A day at the most."
"Is he being serious?" Liam wondered aloud to Spencer, who merely shrugged and wiped his dripping nose. "I don't want to be out here anymore! My hair... My body... Everything is all a mess right now."
"I know." Spencer drew his sister closer as they continued down the empty streets. The wind had picked up by now, their bodies huddled close as they moved slowly closer to the abandoned building Nero had talked about.
And though it had taken more then they had wanted, by this point, their legs were brutally murdered by the winds. The strong gusts had nearly blown them away and back to start, almost instantly. It was terrible, but as Jazz and Vanessa had sat down, hugging, Serenity and the green bulldog huddled close, and Griffin and Britain keeping the fire, they group had managed to survive yet another night. Nero and Spencer had scavenged for bits of flammable objects. Liam kept an angry eye out on the alien, who had recently awakened. She was blanketed and clothed properly. The collar still rested upon her neck, her custom vacuumed into the thing while jackets and pants covered her pale form.
The black haired alien sat a distance from the fire, her starbolts creating a temporary pink to the fire before allowing it to blossom and grow. She wasn't to excited about being in the group of mixed teams: the villains, such as herself, and the Titans, such as her sister had been. Ravenstar. She had nearly spat, yet seeing the angry glares given off by the third blonde girl, she kept it in her mouth before turning her head sharply to spit, her eys glued to the blonde.
"Gross." Liam scrunched her nose in disgust.
"And? What of it?" She spat, her words harsh. Liam was affronted by this girl. She was the tough-shelled, angry girl, not this one! She was always like that from the beginning, and she wasn't too happy about losing her title. She crossed her arms and snorted. A smirk curled a single corner of Emberstar's lips, closing her eyes before sinking her head into her knees.
Vanessa sighed heavily before shivering. "I'm so cold..." She said. "I wonder where our dogs went." She looked at Jazz, who was stricken with worry. Once the bombs had struck, the city in flames, the duo had sent their dogs out in search for others, and hasn’t yet returned. With Bolt, Jazz's flying pooch, and Vanessa's swift-footed hound, the blonde-and-black haired girl was surprised they hadn't returned with anyone.
Jazz frowned. "I dunno. I miss Bolt..." She murmured.
Griffin looked up as the two girls spoke, his eyes bland. he bit his lip and moved towards the two, sitting besides the blonde as he continued to keep the fire up. "I'm sure they'll return."
Jazz only smiled, though still stricken with worry. She hoped they would.
Soon.
