A job.
Nathaniel hated the sound of that.
Still, he remained silent, pondering. His eyes slid shut as he allowed a span of visions to sink in. So much noise. It blocked out all of the sounds of the Cage, and there was no way that the speakers were being very loud in his mind. Whispering of clues. People bouncing ideas off of each other. For close to a minute and a half, he remained motionless and silent. Slowly, his mind began to reel back into the current times. He felt almost disoriented when the sounds of the next match began to gear up and reach his ears. He shook his head. He looked almost distraught, his brow crease and his eyes narrowed. “Holy shit, you’ve gotten yourself into a whole load of it. I sure hope you’re able to start getting visions about it again. This is deep shit.”
“You’ve gotten to the beach. If you haven’t quite gotten that far in your thought process, you’ve got it now. Then you’re going to have to take what’s-his-face to Blacklist’s home. The one who dresses like a ninja.” He frowned slightly. “I would have to see that kid before determining what would happen to him. Everything relating to him seems irrelevant in the quick visions I got snapshots of. Shift is going missing, but you’ll encounter her soon enough.” Nathaniel paused to chew over his next few words. “There’s a villain called Brainiax who is also working against you with Shift. I can’t tell if he’s the one you’re looking for, but he’s involved. He may be someone irrelevant, but he's going to pose problems. As soon as ninja-kid gets through his trip, then you may want to turn your attention to him.”
He leaned forward in the chair, resting his elbows on his knees. He placed his face in his hands, rubbing at his forehead. “I’m going to have headaches like hell now.” Nathaniel slowly sat upright, before standing up. He cast a glance around. “The noise in here won’t help. If you want to try and pry my mind for anything else, then we’re going to have to go outside.” He crossed his arms. A few of the people around them seemed to be sending him quizzical looks, but he ignored them. Weird things happened all the time in this city. Surely they would see something stranger in the next week or so. They had no idea what was going on.
Nathaniel froze, his eyes glassing over another brief moment.
It passed quickly, and he shook his head.
“It’s a guy, though. I can hear it in his voice. But I have a feeling that if I try to delve any deeper, I’m getting into muck that I can’t hear. And I have no idea where or when he is.”
ooc;; I'm trying to write it like the time frame it happened in. So yeah. X3
