Serenity walked over to the gate of the graveyard quietly, her bare feet made the most sound as she walked on the pavement. The pitter-patter of feet was quiet around her and she knew how to walk without a sound.
Serenity pulled at her khaki halter shirt collar. She was wearing flowing cream pants that cut off at the knee and went with the khaki shirt well. It was defiantly a different look and one that no matter how odd managed to fade into the back of one's mind, although her emerald eyes could always bore a hole through whatever falsehood you wanted to say.
Serenity's eyes held the sight to the apocalypse and then some. They had seen death and destruction, mutilation and resurrection, murder and hate. That was the reason her fingers were lacing through the complex designs of the surrounding fencing.
She owed the souls a helping hand.
This wasn't a day she looked forward to in her life. She often made conscious attempts to not look forward in time to this moment. She never liked seeing the souls who couldn't leave the place they were buried because they didn't want to let go. Life was still to real for them to let go, so they held on to it until they withered away.
She had been conversing with some of the spirits here for her entire life as had other mediums before her. Some ghosts had been here longer than most people would believe and had learned how to tackle the sands of time.
Even for Serenity those ghosts were difficult to see as they had withered away to a fragment of the self they had once been. "Sorina none of them are going to let go today," she said sadly to the quiet dove hovering beside her.
Sorina cooed quietly, "Yes well I doubt some ever will, but with time some might and it's worth it to try." she said softly, her wings making no sound as they didn't need wind to stay up.
Serenity nodded, her long blonde hair flowed down her back as she turned her gaze to the pure white dove, "But what should I say to them today?" she asked miserably, she didn't know what else to say to them, nothing ever seemed to help them, not even visits from spirits who had chosen to stay rather than move on. Nothing helped and it was wearing thin on her limited patience.
Sorina sighed, "I don't know." she said helplessly it seemed that there was only so much you could say to a spirit before they tuned you out completely. It was frustrating for the both of them to no end.
Serenity sighed and glanced around her quickly, "Man I must sound crazy talking to a spirit... that no one else can hear..." she said thoughtfully.[/size]
