Backlash {Open/Rowan/Serenity}

[Athena 'Shift' Logan]

Shift usually wasn't one to wallow in self pity, or any other emotion. And yet, that was exactly what the green, furry Teen Titan was doing at one of the smaller parks in Jump City. With a hooded sweatshirt on and the hood tossed up over her head, the Titan leader was attempting to pout and avoid large crowds - and anyone who knew her, freind or foe - until the end of the world.

Or at least until she got over her hangover and the hubbub from all those videos from the bar had faded into obscurity. Whichever came first. And from her perspective, forever seemed to be closer in coming. Or maybe that was the raging headache that pounded a war cry against her skull, or whatever trick her eyelids were pulling that made them feel like lead and her temper hanging on by the fraying end of a very old thread.

A groan escaped the heroine as she heard footsteps drawing nearer. The Titan hoped that whoever it was would pass by and ignore the lanky, huddled form in black sweatshirt and blue jeans sitting underneath a tree.

Tian was in search in Shift. One of the dragons told her something was wrong with the green girl. Seeing her under a tree, she walked up. "Um...Athena? In something bothering you?" she asked, sitting on the ground in front of the girl. "I can help if you have a headache," she offered.

Shift debated, for half a second, if it would be possible to ignore Tian. Then she decided that no, it wouldn't, if only because then the dragonette would probably get miffed and was able to light her on fire if she so chose. And that that really wouldn't help her headache. So the hoodie-wearing teenager lifted her head, craned her neck up towards Tian and sighed before answering, wearily. "Yes - my own idocy. And I doubt you could help me with that."

Shift grimaced as she spoke, a gloved hand poking softly at the very tender right-hand side of her jaw, where an odd-ly colored bruise could be seen through the very thin, fine fur on her face. Off-colored though it was, the mark was still clearly a bruise, and was more easily seen than the bruises she had collected from Rowan the night before that were elsewhere on her body. Then the teenager cocked her head to the side and ammended her last statement, wincing once again. "Unless, of course, you have Advil or something."

"No, sorry." She sighed. "What happened to you anyway, huh?" she asked, looking at the mark on her jaw. "Did you get in a fist fight or something?" Her tail curled over her lap as she waited for an answer.

Embarresment made the teenager duck her head, before nodding and avoiding Tian's eye. "Uh, something like that. I don't...I don't really remember what happened.", admitted Athena sheepishly, glancing at Tian again. "You'd have to ask Serenity about it - or Rowan, if she'd deign to speak with you. Hell, you could look it up on the internet, I'm sure it's all over that." Towards the end of her explination, the shape shifter's voice had turned from embarresed to bitter and angry; most of that anger directed inward, because it was her own fault.

"I do remember I got into a fight. I think I hit on some girls, too.", added the heroine, the peirced girls' tone a bit more nuetral now than before. She really didn't remembered much, although she did clearly remember her hitting on Rowan and then them fighting, although Athena wasn't sure if the two were connected or not. Nor did it cross the teenagers' mind that Tian didn't know she was gay and might take her comment about hitting on girls oddly.

Serenity came rushing back to the park where Athena was wallowing in self pity, "Here, sorry but the line at the drug store was even larger than the convince store so..." she sad handing Athena the bottle of Advil she had just run off to get, "You really shouldn't drink so much." she said with a huff. It wasn't that she disaproved of drinking, she just disapproved of getting drunk.[/size]

Surprise at the Advil-presenting Serenity lasted only as long as it took Shift to remember her blonde teammate and freind was a rather good precog, then releif replaced it. "Thanks.", the Titan said, taking the offered bottle and wrestling it open. Popping two into her mouth and swallowing, the shape shifter grimaced as they went down before replying to the last bit of the honorary Titan's speech/lecture.

"And, yes, I know. I don't usually do that. I was just...I don't know. Stupid." Athena sighed, glancing at her boots before looking back up to Tian and Serenity, looking rather sadly hopeful. "Do you think rowan remembers?"

"..." Tian just shrugged. "I'm gunna say, probably. I would. But then again, Drathnians can remember things easier then humans so...hmm..." Tian placed her cheek on her palm.

That might, be what's called stereo-typing" Rena said softly, in courteousness of Athena's current state, having appeared behind Tian, so close that her breath could be felt on Tian's ears.

Rena stood behind Tian, with freshly trimmed, short-black hair. It was now nice and even, rather than sporting growth, that was only a couple inches long in the back at the most., and her bang lengths were hard to tell, as currently they were stuck behind her ears with one bobby pin on each side.

Her shirt was for once, tight rather than baggy, following the curves of her body, atleast the curves she had, as she was rather small-chested and petite. For pants, she wore long cargo shorts, or short cargo pants, with a bit of a camo-design to it. Her shirt and pants were both army green.

Serenity waved half heartedly at Rena and sighed, when would people learn that drinking was bad for~

A small white bird came ramming into her back making her stagger over slightly. She only saved herself by grabbing Rena's arm "SORINA!" she growled then realized that Athena would probably not like the noise that much, "Sorry." she whispered to the green teen.[/size]
