Serenity ducked and covered her ears just in time to avoid most of the explosion. The dust went flying past her face and she ducked her head into her long hair to help slightly, "Nice." she coughed through the smoke and dust kicked up by the explosion. She glanced around quickly to make sure that Matty was alright and smiled as she spotted his future so it was reasonably safe that he was fine, "Come on we have to get going before this section collapses." she said to Matty as she ran over to where he had retreated to.

"Alright. This way!" The scientists looked stunned but very alive, except for a slow one, who was burnt terribly. The scientists, coughing and weezing, tryed to make their way for the outside. "Let's get out of here!" Matty said, trying to pick up the burnt man who easily weighed more than he did. "Can you help me lift this guy? You're going to be alright, sir, you're in good hands." He said the last part in response to a groan and nonsense murmer coming from the man. He wasn't sure about the good hands part, though.

Serenity grabbed a few strong scientists to go and help Matty lift their colleague, she wasn't strong enough to lift someone who was almost twice as large as she was and she wasn't about to try now, she had other people to worry about. "Matt we have to help the test subjects," she said and pointed around the labs as the cages were becoming obvious as the scientists that worked on them filled out. "There probably still trapped and can't escape." she said and almost ran into a white ball of feathers that was rushing toward her.
"Sorina what are you doing here?" she asked before shaking her head to stop her from answering the question, the psychic herself had told the spirit dove to look for the survivors. She didn't need to be told why she was there and wasn't in the mood for a snarky response. "Can you scout ahead to see if there are any test subjects around?" she asked as the bird dove through the walls to do what she was told. The command had been a moment in the coming and Sorina wasn't a stupid bird. She figured it out.

"Ma'am don't bother. All the subjects went missing earlier today" One of the scientists helping matty said. "Let's just get out of here" As the three lifted the fallen man, Matty added "that's convenient". They were already rushing out the door.

Serenity blinked in surprise but didn't think to much of it, yes all of the test subjects escaping the day before the building caught fire was odd but she didn't have time to think about it now. There was every other living being in the building to worry about.
She cast her intelligent eyes around the room quickly and as soon as Sorina came out of the wall to report to her she waved her over, "We're getting out of here." she yelled to her spirit friend and turned her back on the dove to race for the opening that was being jammed by the panicking civilians.
The orange flames licked the walls of the supports of the building. The flames carried the smoke and ash up to the already scared scientists and they became even more erratic in their movements and delayed the escape even further. The beams began to creak as the weaknesses that most wouldn't have noticed were now exploited as the flames raged around them. There was then a loud crack and the celling began to fall.
Serenity shrieked in pain as she felt the very real sensation of being crushed by the celling that hadn't really crushed her... yet. A maroon symbol was blazing almost a neon color on her forehead now. It always did when she had vivid sights of the future. The ones where she died were always the worst though. She could feel her own heart stop. Now it was pounding in her chest. It had been driven into overtime to compensate for the fact that she had just felt her own death. Her breath came in short gasping breaths as she breathed in more ash and looked up in fear as she smelt the smoke. It was actually happening.
Only once she felt Sorina's beak digging into her arm to get her to keep moving, if it hadn't been for that Serenity might have stood their in shock. Seeing yourself die was one thing but actually experiencing it was another. "Serenity MOVE." the dove growled irritably.
Serenity glanced at the door to see that people were trying to push each other out of the way to get through the small opening, "Two at a time!" she yelled taking control although she could still feel the pain of being crushed alive.

"What's wrong, Serenity?" Matt asked, a little too paniced for concern. She was blocking their path and wasn't moving. She looked as if she had seen a ghost... and that wasn't normal for her. <Sorry...lazy............>

Serenity blinked up and turned to look at Matt as he asked what was wrong and winced at the phantom pain in her neck and shoulders, "I'm fine." she said and tried to blink away the shock of experiencing death, "But none of us will be if we don't move now." she said as she directed people the way quickest way to the exit while trying to ignore the phantom pain of dieing. For the record not to easy to do.

"Ok, lets go, people" Matt said as the three moved down a narrw hallway. "I have an Idea." his right arm held up the man, but his left was scraping against the burning wall. The wall stopped burning as it began changing color. The new color, a silvery metallic, spread in streams then filled in along the wall, and much of the fire disappeared. "If only I could do that to the whole building." As they reached the end of the hallway, he turned his head over his shoulder. "Serenity, MOVE!"

<<whoops I thought you were going to have a post about catching up with him>> Kura caught the scent of Tian moving in on him. Hatching a plan, he took a rather long U-turn, and headed back for the flaming building. Still wearing a disguise of sorts made movement difficult, how could humans bear to wear this stuff? All the same, he sprinted around a building, down two blocks and took another left to head straight for the fire. He was breathing heavily when he made it back to the fire, leaning on a firetruck.
As a warrior class of the drathnians, he got very different forms than tian, and did not have an aquatic form. His ice form would not be able to work near high temperatures, so that was useless. His normal state was essentially a typical fire breathing humanoid dragon, capable of withstanding great heat. He wasn't very capable of putting fires out. As the fire grew in intensity, his clothes burned off and turned to ash. He found solace in the fact he had let all the test animals go the day before.

Serenity glanced up as Matt began to dissipate the fire. That had not happened before, or she didn't think it did anyway, the problem was the supports underneath were still burning, "People MOVE" she yelled to the scientists around her as she tried to pick up the speed. She wasn't running full tilt because she couldn't, dieing was painful but she could direct Sorina to become visible and take the lead. So it's what she did, "Sorina!"
In working with Serenity for so long she could guess the order, it had been what she had been thinking too, "On it." she said as she flew through a few heads before making it to the front of the large pack, "People this way follow me." she said as she became visible. It wasn't exactly an easy feat for her but she knew Serenity wasn't exactly at her best, the still neon mark on her forehead showed that but she was at least escaping. That was something.
