Athena looked impressed, raising her eyebrows at her blonde, future-veiwing freind. "Wish I could've done that - I always hated math, and my mom wasn't much better at it than I was.", the shape shifter said with a small laugh. most of the time, her mother had had to go and ask her father to help out, if neither of them knew how to do the problem. Surprise flickered on the teenagers' face as Serenity said she had graduated years ago.

"Really? That's amazing! I'm still taking courses online, for my GED.", admitted the Titan, flipping a hand to the computer sitting on the top of her messy bedcovers. When she had decided to do the superhero thing and gone to Jump City, her parents had eventually let her, after signing her up for classes online. They didn't care if your skin was green, just your money.

Serenity nodded, she had really hated school itself, but the classes had been fun. Well it was fun to drive the teachers nuts anyway. "Well you'd be surprised at how many ghosts there are at schools." she said with a shrug, "Mostly high schools as those stupid drunk teens tend to haunt the school they spent most of their time at." she said and glanced under the bed and jumped back in shock, "Ok there's something that's not quite dead under there..." she said and jumped back behind her furry friend, "Deal with it."[/size]

A flash of amusement flickered over the seventeen-year-olds' face as her blonde teammate ducked behind her taller form with what Athena could have sworn was a squeak in the precog's voice. Crouching - grabbing the edge of her bed for extra balance - the Titan leader peered under the bed, her eyes adjusting to the dim light better than Serenity's probably had. "I don't think that's something alive, Sere-- oh, nevermind, it is!"

Shift scrambled backwards as three mice scurried out from underneath her bed. She wasn't scared of the mice - Athena wasn't scared of many animals, period, mostly because she could relate well to them - but she didn't want to accidentally step on one of the little rats, either. Hoping that Serenity wouldn't freak out, Athena put her hand on the floor, palm up, and let one of the more adventurous mice climb onto it.

"It's just a mouse.", the green Titan said, looking over her shoulder and upwards, towards the blonde precog.

Serenity shook her head, "That's not what I was talking about," she said and pointed over to what looked like a small deformed puppy but was hissing like a snake, "I think it's infectious so don't let it bite you." she said as she took a step back and heard a squeal from the mice as she almost stepped on them. "Oh sorry." she said to the mouse and almost tripped over a trash bag.[/size]

"Oh.", Athena said, biting her lip as she took a closer look at the puppy-like...thing. it hissed again and moved farther towards the wall. "Um. I don't know what that is, but - uh, I don't supposed you've got a flashlight with you so i can look at it?", Shift asked, looking over her shoulder at Serenity and hiding a smile and laugh as she nearly tripped. It was amazing the girl was a Titan, honorary or not, as clumsy and bad at fighting as she was. The blonde was excellent at helping, though, and could talk down and verbally intimidate any low-level scum.

Shift pulled away from the edge of her bed, careful to keep her hands off the floor - just in case whatever the hell that was beneath her bed decided they looked tasty.

Serenity shrugged and looked around the room to see if there was a flashlight there. And flicked her hand at Sorina who began to search for one. It was a tactic they used often Sorina would start to scour the room and Serenity would gaze into the future to see where the item would be. "Uh I think you have one." she said and picked it up from under an old pizza box. "Um I don't know if it works though." she said thoughtfully and flipped it on to see if it worked and when it didn't turn on hit it against the bedside table and it blinked on. "Here you go." she said with a smile and passed over the flashlight.

Then she glanced over at the mice, "I'll get the mice in a cage while you deal with that." she said finding something that would work as a cage for the mice that were now wandering around the room. "This should be a project for all of the new Titans. It would be a good training exercise for them to help with expecting the unexpected." she said jokingly and pulled her long hair up into a bun to keep it out of the mess that happened to be Athena's room.[/size]
