[Athena 'Shift' Logan]

If someone had been walking past Athena Logan's room at about 4:19 in the afternoon, they might have been hit by a flying comic book. Or, if they had good reflexes and ducked - or good sense and had stopped - they might have then been hit by the blaring alarm clock that swiftly followed the same path, edging a little more to the right. Unless they had common sense, in which case said person probably would have either turned around and found another route to their destination, or would have ducked low and kept moving.

Shift, however, was inside her room, and was the one throwing things out into the hallway so haphazardly. There was already a pile of junk outside her room - some moldy peices of olive-and-mushroom-pizza and what looked like a broken TV remote currently sat on the top of it, along with the juice-stained comic book and broken alarm clock - which was outside because there was no more room for it inside. If one had been brave enough to poke their head's in the doorway and look around, they would have seen something that resembled a room. It had four walls - plastered with torn and falling posters and one big US map - a ceiling with some glowing plastic stars stuck on it, and Athena Logan, who was standing on what one would assume had been the floor, oh so long ago.

The green teenager sighed and held up a t-shirt, which smelled funky and had a weird black stain on the bottom left of it. Balling up the clothing, she tossed it over in the appropriate corner with her other dirty clothes and bent down to pick up the next bit of stuff that was covering the floor of her room in the Titans' Tower. "I really should have grabbed some trashbags.", the shape shifter told herself, bright eyes scanning the mess that was her room. Veiwing it, the furry superheroine opined that she now knew what her mother meant when she said it looked like a tornado had come through.

Serenity was walking down the halls of the now familiar tower and had learned much in her time there. She had slowly become a familiar face in the oddly shaped tower and even though she wasn't a Titan she was comfortable with it's odd architecture, and the people in it.

Sorina flew next to her and was wondering why they were heading for the bedrooms but when she opened her beak to ask the question she noticed a flying comic book that almost hit Serenity in the head but the emerald eyed girl had caught it before she even looked in that direction. "How did you... never mind." Sorina said as an alarm clock flew right through her, "HEY!" she said irritably as Serenity quickly slipped into Athena's room.

The blond medium scrunched up her nose at the smell in the room and walked around Athena before she could start throwing things again, "I come bearing trash bags." she said and handed a full bag of them to Athena.[/size]

Athena turned around at Serenity's voice and blinked, opening her mouth to ask how Serenity had known to get them - or where to find them, for that matter - but then closed it when she remembered that her blonde, sometimes-teammate was a precog. After a while, one got used to them knowing what was going on before it happened, or acting oddly in order to stop or start something into happening. So the teenager took the offered trashbags thankfully and started tossing things into one after shaking it open.

"Thanks, Serenity.", Athena said, peering over the shorter lass's shoulder and wincing at the sight outside of her door. "Guess I should start on that, huh? Sorry if it tripped you up or anything, I just decided to start some spring cleaning.", the peirced super-heroine explained, ignoring the fact that it was now the start of fall instead of the start of spring. Having had little else to do - and finding it immensly hard to get from one side of her room to the other without injury - had caused the Titan to start in on one of the less thrilling aspects of life; cleaning her room.

Serenity grinned and glanced at Sorina, "Actually I knew it was coming and almost caught the comic book, Sorina on the other hand, well you got a birdseye!" she said with a grin.

Sorina laughed sarcastically and if she had had a tongue to stick out she would have done so at that moment, "Oh my punny bone it burns." she said in a very offended way.

Not gracing that with a responce she let her smile turn into a smirk, "It was almost as funny as the first time I saw it." she said with a very evil grin playing at her features.

Only hearing one half of the conversation, Athena glanced around habitually for Sorina, although the shape shifter didn't see anything - as usual. She beleived Serenity when she said Sorina was some dead-spirit dove...thing that the green girl really didn't understand, but hearing the blonde talk to thin air was still unsettling. 'At least Tian can kinda see it, too. No idea how that works, either.', reflected Shift. Maybe it was secondary powers or something.

Dropping a few odds and ends into the trashbag from in the hall, Athena glanced down both ends of the hallway, wondering if any of her other teammates had found their way to her room yet. "This would be so much easier if I could levitate all this junk or something.", muttered the shape shifter, mostly to herself. Her octopus form could have got the job done faster, if it had been smaller - as it was, the octopus she usually changed into wouldn't even have fit in her room, let alone the smaller hallway.

Serenity grabbed a half rotted book and turned to ask if she could throw it away but heard the answer in the future and glanced at the mold covered half decaying book, "I'll throw this out." she muttered and grabbed some latex gloves from her back pocket.[/size]

Shift made a face as she turned and saw the book. "I totally forgot about that book. I'll have to buy my mom a new one.", the shape shifter said, making a grimacing face at the prospect. She hated spending money, because when she did, she always ended up spending way too much on stupid, little things - like junk food and comics. (That was part of the reason she never went grocery shopping with the rest of her team; that, and they could hide their differences, mostly. She couldn't.)

It hadn't occured to the Titan that her mention of her mother might prompt Serenity into asking more about it. The green furred shape shifter never liked to talk about her family, and having met Nero (although Athena didn't know it) the blonde might have an inkling as to why.

Serenity glanced at the book in her hands and threw it in the nearest trash bag, "Your mother enjoys moldy books about.... whatever that could be about?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. She herself loved reading and usually forced herself to avoid having visions while she read or she often happened to read the end before she had even started the book. It had always been an irritating habit.[/size]

Shift nodded, shoving a few more things into the large, black trashbag. "Mystery novels...and yeah, she does. So does my brother." Athena paused, closing her eyes for a moment, remembering a few lazy summer afternoons, Nero reading his mysteries and she her flashy, thinner comic books. And later, years later, him leaving after yet another fight with their parents. Then her eyes opened and the super heroine yanked an old alarm clock off the floor with unnesissary force.

"Or he did, anyway. Haven't talked to him in a while.", Athena added, noticing belatedly she hadn't spoken for a while. The shape shifter had no clue that Nero and Serenity had had a chat; Nero hadn't called, and so Shift was still oblivious to her older sibling living in Jump City.

Serenity raised an eyebrow and thought back to her conversation with Nero, he was a villain, check.

He hated Serenity for her style of conversation, check.

He played overprotective brother well, check.

She glanced over at her green friend, "Well Nero sure doesn't seem like the mystery novel type... or he didn't when I talked to him anyway. But it's odd he hasn't called you yet, he said he was going to when he came by." she said sniffing a pair of socks and quickly throwing them away.[/size]
