Shift looked this way and that, her mind whirling through possibilities and worries, and the general dissarray that this one villian had mocked them into. Serenity was stuck in the wall somehow, and Irazehl was nowhere to be seen - maybe he was recuperating, or perhaps he had gotten knocked out? Either way, the shape shifting leader didn't have time to check before Xavier was smiling and waving irritatingly at her.

'He and Rena would get along well, annoying the ever-living-loving hell out everyone else.', Shift thought to herself, snarling wordlessly as her body surged forward. The Titan's peircings and clothes dissapeared as her human form shifter to a squatter and more muscular form - that of a green, shaggy furred cougar. An challenging snarl was Xaviers' answer before her claws swiped for his shoulder.

Xavier hadn't expected this. He jumped back a little late and was clawed, three long marks on his shouder. He made an annoyed noise and dissapeared. "It could take some time to et you..." A few glass beekers(did i spell that right?) flew out at her from above and around her.

Athena felt a surge of predatory satisfaction as her prey bled and was slowed down, although that feeling lessened when she saw her prey - Xavier - dissapear. Already confused and annoyed by this, the green colored cougar looked this way and that, expecting Xavier to have just moved back quickly after her first scoring of his shoulder. Then the glass beakers started raining down around the large cat, and Shift growled, tail lashing as she dodged what she could.

As her paws bled from the shards on the ground of the room - whatever room in the complex building this was; she assumed it was some sort of storage closet, with all of the beakers and other odds and ends around - the superheroine yowled as one got stuck deep into one of her pads and she shifted back hurriedly, her snarling morphing into a string of curse words her mother would have grounded her for.

Ducking behind a set of boxes that smelled of disinfectants and plastic, Athena bit her bottom lip - the peircings in it feeling cold and slick - and used her other hand to yank out the shard of glass. The Titan had to bite her bottom lip to keep from letting out a noise that might give her away, and it wasn't until later Shift realized that her hand and her lip had been bleeding.

Serenity glared at Athena as she started raking her claws into xavier, "Hey can you get him to get me out of here?" she asked irritably following the fight with her eyes and tried to turn her head to see what was happening with Gamma and Sorina but found herself to be stuck in the wall. This was not turning out to be a good day.

Sorina followed the cords down another wall which she thought was leading to another hallway. This was irritating and not at all easy. Serenity owed her big time after this one.[/size]

Xavier appeared in front of Athena. "Bad hiding place. Never hide in the shadows," he said, grabbing the girl's shirt collar. "By the way, that REALLY hurt!" He threw her out into the open room on the glass. "Tell me, did the glass hurt you to much?" he asked, smirking.

Athena heard Serenity say something - something about her being stuck, that much the shape shifter could understand - through the jumble that was her consious thought at the time. Landing on the unforgiving floor as gravity took hold, Shift cried out in pain as the glass bit into her, slicing past the green fur that had plagued the superheroine since she was fourteen like it was only so much butter to a hot knife.

Her clothes and fur glittering slightly from the bits of glass sticking in and to it, Athena winced and felt her already tense muscles tighten even more as she got to her feet, hand getting some slight cuts as she pushed against the floor. "I'm having a really bad week.", she growled at Xavier. If he could see her eyes, he would have seen they were dilated from the darkness of the room, and the pain from her hand that was added to by the other cuts. "And trust me, your stupid little glass trick is nothing, boy."

After everything with Rena in the training room and Rowan and Ravenstar...well, the superheroine was seriously starting to understand why he brother worked on the opposite side of the law. And why he worked, above all else, alone.

Xavier tripped a small string of fishing line, which unzipped one of irazehls dirt bags on the ceiling noislessly(Irazehl needs soil to sommon plants.) Only a little bit of earth fell out, and lots of shuriken and throwing knives that would fall tip first. By how little dirt fell out, one could assume Irazehl had been summoning during his absence. He had only armed the trap after athena had passed, hoping that Xavier would follow. If somehow he detected the falling weapons, Irazehl had a back up plan.

Xavier looked up. "Ah!" He jumped backwards, a few knives sliced his arm before jumping. He growled. Looking out the window, he smirked. "Well, look at that. The sun's comming up. That means I gotta go." He stepped back into the shadows. "Gamma!" he called loudly. The cat, still chasing Sorina, abruptly stopped and vanished. The cat appeared out of his shadow on the ground. "I almost had her!" he yowled, frustrated. "Shut it and come on...Oh wait. Almost forgot." He vanished and showed up in front of Serenity and pulled her out of the wall. "See ya." He then disapeared into the shadows again.

Serenity sighed with relief as she saw him a second before it happened and braced herself to be pulled out of the wall. Not that she didn't mind sitting out of the fights but she didn't like being stuck in a wall. The having trouble breathing was not to much fun either.

She gasped in shock as he pulled her out of the wall and she fell to her knees from the impact. "Can I now officially hate walls or is there a rule against it?" She asked and glanced back to see if her ridiculously long hair was free of the wall behind her. This would be fun she wouldn't be able to walk next to a wall for a week at least. She wished she could just get over that quicker.[/size]
