They were practically in the door, he realized, and turning invisible now would not have worked. At all. His fingers glowed a faint red as he disguised his clothing to make him appear as if he were wearing scrubs. It was even complete with a name tag, and he quickly stuffed his hands into his pockets to hide the glowing haze around them. He managed to quickly plaster a false smile on his face, trying to appear like your typical in-training nurse. His sister would have been laughing uncontrollably had she been in the room.
Spencer nodded as the nurse and Mrs. Danvers entered the room. Why did that name sound familiar? He hated knowing who several Supers were, but not being able to remember them on demand. He would have pried further, but he forced himself to keep a part of his mind focused on the outfit. If he dropped the illusion now, well, there was no way that would go over very easily. He turned to the nurse who was posing as an escort. "Ah! There you are! This one seems to be very determined to get out without any sort of procedure." He even tagged a slight laugh on the end, just enough to make him appear confident and cheerful.
He turned his face just far enough that he could push hair from his face without the adults seeing his hands. "I'm here more for paperwork and to check in on patients than the actual stitching or stapling." He flashed another fake smile, looking away once more to make a slightly disgusted face. He would never work in a hospital. It smelled too strongly of disinfectant, and he would have had to tolerate seeing large amounts of blood.
Not that he'd never gotten cut up, it was just... different.
Difficult.

“Miss JazzAnn Marie Danvers!”
Linda was making quicksteps towards the bed, where her rather surprised – and quite frankly, unhappy or excited – daughter sat, her back arched with hands on her leg and needle. With blonde hair flying about behind her, the Supermom really didn’t want to bother with her child. She was angry, that much was true – and the fact her face was redder then a ripe tomato was certainly proving it. She had taken the string rather angrily from her hands and whipped it about like an angry finger. Jazz sunk low into the bed, slowly pulling the sheets over her chin, then over her nose, allowing only her eyes to show. Her blue eyes were wide and she was truthfully wishing she was somewhere else at the moment.
“It’s great to see you too, Mom.” She said, voice muffled beneath the sheet.
“Don’t you speak to me in that tone of voice, young lady! You have no idea just how angry I am; do you? Hmm?” She had ignored the others in the room, including the so-called “nurse.” The other chubby one stood besides Serenity, slightly surprised by the uproar the mother had caused. She was sure the others felt the same.
Tone?
Jazz wasn’t aware of the tone.
Though she was honestly surprised by how good the brunette “nurse” looked in scrubs. Her eyebrows raised as she looked at the people in the room. Her only response was a shrug and a sheepish grin.

He fought to restrain his laughter, allowing a smirk to cross his face, which he covered with one hand. Oh boy, how much he would've hated to be in Jazz's shoes. Not that his mother really cared that much - she was quite thrilled when Liam and Spencer informed her that they were leaving on what she called "their voyage into adulthood." It just meant less cash from her pocket. Spencer quickly realized how much this grin had exposed his glowing hand, his eyes growing wide for a moment, and stuffed it into the pocket of the apron-like shirt. Had anybody caught sight of it? He highly doubted the slightly oblivious nurse would have noticed.
JazzAnn.
That was the girl’s name. The strange girl who had gotten to the hotel with a gaping hole in her leg, and had been about to stitch it back together. He was slightly proud that he was beginning to collect names and other various tidbits of information. He hadn’t figured out much about this girl. She was a Super, he guessed, from her earlier reaction to his illusions. But what was her power? And what had she been doing earlier? The ‘S’ on her shirt hinted at Superman, but- No. He didn’t want to think about sides right now. His sister would have killed him if she found out he was running with Titans. Especially given the fact that the only force that could possibly stop them came in the form of Shift and her little cult.
He glanced over at the others. The actual nurse seemed to cast him a strange look, but that could have easily gone to the frantic mother who was yelling in the hospital room. Spencer crossed his arms, trying to catch Serenity's eye. What should they do? Stick around? It was obvious his grand illusion to help Jazz get out of the clutches of the hospital wasn’t going to work, not with her mom hanging around. He felt bad just walking out, but what would he have done if Liam woke up? Would the nurse at the front desk call his phone or something? She probably would have been confused, he had been sitting there for close to two hours and then just vanished.

“Look, just get her stitched up.” She said, to both the boy and the chubby nurse before turning towards Serenity. “I thought I made it clear to you kids to keep an eye out for her? You know she’s self destructive.” Linda said, pointing her thumb at her daughter. Jazz’s brows creased, knitting together in almost a frustrated way. She shot the boy a glance, her lips pursed before snorting and glancing back towards her mother again. How can her own mother call her self destructive? Jazz wasn’t too sure why she would make it seem as if her only child was a moron who needed constant looking after. She wasn’t a complete idiot; she’d admit she made mistakes. Everyone does, even Supers.
Still, that didn’t give Linda the right to call her self-destructive.
Still, she was slightly glad she was now complaining at her teammate, getting those blue eyes off her for a few moments. Jazz slid a hand through her hair and sighed heavily, smiling slightly. Jazz’s eyes slid towards the brunette. What was his name? Had he mentioned it? She wasn’t so sure. At this moment, she didn’t want to know. Yet, she did. She wasn’t sure if she should ask – it’ll bring suspicions to the others in the room. And her mother especially.
Her mother.
God knows what she wanted to do to her at the moment.
Throw her car would work.
However, first she wanted her wound mended and cleaned.
“Uh, hello, wounded girl here who’d like her bleeding leg sewed shut now.”

Ouch. That sounded so... harsh. What mother honestly ran around talking about how much of a klutz her daughter was? Or that she needed protection from herself? Evidently this one, he mentally pointed out with a slight nod. He crossed his arms, taking special care to keep his fingers hidden, and continued to watch without a word. He felt sorry for Jazz, here she was, claiming she was fine, and her mother was going around telling everyone in the hospital that she couldn't handle the situation. But who was he kidding? He wasn't a hero, what did he know about the line of work? He also hoped that Serenity didn't do or say anything that gave away his cover.
Spencer's eyes widened at the thought of stitches. What was he supposed to do? He wasn't qualified to just turn around and sew somebody shut. He shouldn't have even been in the same room as a patient besides his sister. The Super should have known that, after all, he had already given her the brief explanation of his powers. He nervously shifted from foot to foot before taking a few steps closer to the assortment of surgical equipment in the room.
"Well..." he muttered, frowning slightly. He quickly snatched a pair of latex gloves from the box on the cart, pulling them on and dimming the faint red haze. "I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have everybody in here. I understand that it isn't a major procedure, but I'm rather new, and a bit nervous about performing this under such conditions."
He sincerely hoped they would take his lie and walk out.
After all, he didn't want to seriously have to stitch up Jazz's leg and screw it up.
