Practice [Open]

Serenity rolled her eyes at Rena, "I am seriously going to be tied up." she said with a roll of her emerald eyes. She had had enough of people thinking that she was brushing them off, they didn't always realize that she also had obligations with the dead as well as the living.

She sighed and glanced back at Athena, "Your not a jerk you know." she said before Athena could do anything stupid. Well then it didn't matter much if she did anyway, this was the work out room.[/size]

Serenity's comment smoothed out the shape shifters' scowling face a little bit as the Titan glanced over at her freind. "I know - thanks. That's just Rena being...Rena." Shift shrugged, eyes a few shades greener than her fur darting over to where Rena had been just moments before. The thought of their fight, and conversation, made her fur ripple unpleasantly.

"Do you think she was telling the truth - about that alien, or whatever?", Athena asked suddenly. Usually it was something she would brood about, look out for, and generally something she'd keep her thoughts to herself about. But if Rena was telling the truth - for once - and the voice on the other end of the communicator was really some alien coming to Earth with ominous plans - well, she needed to know.

Serenity glanced into the future for a moment to clarify what was going on and saw yet another alien was coming to town... great... "Yeah she was telling the truth." she said with a sigh, why could nothing ever be easy? Life had to be so complex in and of itself and death was no better really. This was one of those times she just wanted to sit back and not think about anything. That at least was simple.[/size]

A sigh escaped the teenage heroines' lips as she mulled over the meaning of that in her mind. 'The one time Rena actually is telling the truth, and it's about something bad.', the shape shifter thought to herself, frowning once again. But maybe the alien was freindly -- like Ravenstar? There was always hope, however slim, that Rena had been lying about the others' intentions.

"Can you see what it's like - er, she?", Shift asked, correcting herself as she remembered Rena had referred to the extraterrestrial as 'she' and 'her' - and the voice on the communicator had been decidedly female, even through all the static of interstellar use. Shift didn't know if Serenity could see that far into the future, or even if anyone had decided anything for that to be an option yet.

Serenity sighed and her maroon symbol began to burn a mark on her forehead, "I can't tell you much." she said with a sigh and tried to find a constant in the other girls decisions, "Well from what I can see she has a very military mind." she said thoughtfully looking at what she could see she'd do. "Very military." she said thoughtfully. The decisions she was making were clean cut and precise. Very military, "Oh and the tech is really cool." she said happily thinking of how to get her hands on it.[/size]

Though Serenity seemed happy, her news only caused the shape shifter to grimace. "Great. More technology I can blow up!", she said, sarcasm dripping from her tone almost visibly. The Titan sighed and rubbed her temples lightly as she hoped - not for the last time - that Serenity's future glance would be changed somehow; maybe, if they were unusually lucky, the alien wouldn't even land on Earth.

"That's all you can see?", probed Shift, looking up again and towards Serenity, even as she gestured towards the doorway - the teen didn't want to spend any more time in the training room that day. "I know Tamarans and Thanagarians are really military, but it would have been on the news if some more of them were officially visiting Earth.", the Teen Titan thought aloud.

Serenity raised an eyebrow, "If Rena's involved what makes you think that it's official?" she asked and the dove on her shoulder rolled her eyes. "Oh I don't know maybe her track record." the dove said and Serenity threw the dove a smile.

"And yes that's all I can see now, there aren't enough decisions made now to get a clear look at her." she said with a frustrated sigh.[/size]

Shift blinked at Serenity's point - and she did have one - but then shrugged. her next comment agreed with what Sorina said, although the teen couldn't hear the spirit-bird. "She'd do something like that, arrange it, just for spite." The shape shifter studied her fingernails - long, but not long enough to be called claws by most people, and about the only typically 'girly' thing about the Titans' leader - and picked out peices of the Kevlar that had gotten under her weasel claws from her sneak attack on Rena earlier.

Then she raised an eyebro at Serenity spoke about the decisions - she had been close, which suprised the shape shifter. Usually things like that, physcics and Seers and whatever, did the opposite than what she expected and gave her a headache if she thought about them too much, which was why she liked most of them about as much as she did teleporters. Serenity, however, was much more down to earth than alot of others with mind powers, even with her invisible bird best freind.

Serenity smiled at Athena and glanced at the Kevlar under Athena's nails. She wasn't exactly surprised to know that Rena wore kevlar when she visited the Titans. She probably should be more surprised but this was Rena, nothing should surprise the blond about that girl anymore. That really should be a rule of thumb now.

"So that was an interesting." Serenity said as she began to absentmindedly stroke Sorina.[/size]

[color-green]Shift made a grunting noise, halfway between acknowledgement and dissagreement as she pressed the pad that opened the training room door and stepped out into the hallway. "Interesting...is one word for it, I guess.", the shape shifter replied, in a bad mood since rena had walked away, yet again. That seemed to be a pattern, and not one that was good for anyone but said dark haired teleporter.

"I guess I'll have to tell the team about this." Shft made a face, grimacing and her bad mood intensified at the thought, and she spat out her last word. "Again.
