She giggled slightly. “No, it was a little funny.” She rubbed her arm again. “Love the smile. You should use it more often.” Although Jazz’s voice was calm and relaxed, it had a hint of sarcasm. She wasn’t the best at sarcasm like her newly found friend, but she was going to work on it. Nd she’d try very hard to master it like him. Maybe she wouldn’t be perfect, but it would be something. She would just need much practice. She ran a hand trough her long hair, brushing it down before nodding. She spit in the palm of her hand, held it out towards him.
“Now, I know its gross, but my friends and I used to do it a lot in school to keep promises. And so far, none have been broken.” She pushed her hand closer. “Like I said, I know, it’s totally nasty and ewy, but hey, if I do it, you should too.” She smirked playfully, and chuckled. She wasn’t sure as to why she had spit in her hand anyway. Even if she had done this before, it was the elementary days when no one cared about germs or the like.
She was hoping he wasn’t a germ-a-phobe like her mother.

Griffin smirked slightly at the comment about the smile. However, upon the hand-spitting gesture, he wasn't sure how to take it. He raised his eyebrows, still smirking. It was almost a look of disbelief, like he couldn't believe that she had just done that. "I haven't seen anybody do that since grade school," he retorted. There was a bit of hesitation in his movement, still, he quickly duplicated and shook her hand. Once the procedure was done, he tried to mask wiping it upon his pants.
"Alright, and we're off!" His voice was rather cheerful, and mockingly heroic-sounding. He jabbed a fist into the air to exaggerate the motion, before finally sauntering out from behind the counter and cutting toward the doorway. That Mina chick shot him a weird look, which he ignored. He shrugged his way through the rest of the small crowd that he cut through, assuming her to follow his path. Griffin cast a look back after a moment, his voice lowered. "So you're really related to... the main man of Metropolis?" He felt his heritage was nothing compared to that.
A few minutes later, and he was practically at the doors to the mall. He glanced out one of the large windows, as if that would help him determine the temperature or time of day. Griffin grinned slightly and glanced at her. "I'm still sorry for freaking you out earlier."

Jazz was slightly amused and a little amazed that he mimicked her. He didn’t have to spit in his hand like she did. She assumed it was so wouldn’t feel so foolish doing it herself. She shrugged, wiping her hand upon her pant leg and let out a little giggle, her expression of slight embarrassment and like she was about to laugh. He had thrusted his fist into the air before marching out of the store. She had realized Mina was casting him an awkward look, as if telling herself, “Wow. What a nut job...” Jazz only shrugged, before wiggling her fingers in a good-bye and followed him out of the busy, noisy store and into the main area of the mall.
“Yeah.” She nodded, slightly proud but slightly annoyed. “My mom’s Supergirl, you know, Linda Danvers? She named me JazzAnn because she said I used to always do jazz hands.” And she waved her hands in the air. “I still don’t know why she added Ann to it, but hey, sounds good to me.” She shrugged, tossing a sheet of black hair from her shoulder. “What about you? I doubt you’re related to Beast Boy, huh? I mean, he only turns into animals, not humans... At least, not that I’m aware of.” She shrugged again. “Besides, I mean, wouldn’t you be brother to Athena? You guys don’t look a lot alike. She’s furry, green, and like those piercings. You’re a normal-looking human being.” She noted.
She smirked, looking up at him with a flutter of lashes. “Nah, it’s okay. It was kinda funny...” She bit her lip. “Sorry for knocking the snot out of you.” Her gaze landed slowly upon the door they neared. She pushed it open, and exited the busy mall.
