Carrie shrugged Vivian really didn't seem like the talking type. "So what brings you to the mall?" she asked snapping her gum as she finished her question. A person walking by glared at the teenager and pushed her children to get them to keep moving. They liked the pretty lights that were coming from the police cars.

Vivian quickly chewed on her gum and watched as the mother pushed her son along, who was still trying to watch the police cars.. Her blood urge was starting to calm down and she became more relaxed. She was just about to answer Carrie's answer when the little boy tripped over his own feet and scraped his knee. The mother was quick to get him back on his feet and the little boy was screaming bloody murder.

The mother looked at the scrape and the boy was still sniffing and whimpering, though it wasn't that bad. But, it was terrible for Vivian. She watched with wide, horrifying eyes as a small drop of blood slowly trickled down the boys leg. Her fangs started to grow as the smell of blood reached her nose. "I....... I got to go." she quickly said then got up and quickly began to walked away. She couldn't lose control of herself, not again.

Carrie glanced up at shuddered at the look on the other girls face, she had seen that look before. It was the look of someone who was about to loose control, an expression that she was all to familiar with. "Uh ok." she said and by mistake swallowed her gum.

The mother glanced up in alarm as Carrie began coughing loudly as she had swallowed her gum. "Shit." she muttered under her breath and glanced back at the retreating Vivian.

Vivian quickly looked back at Carrie as she chocked on her gum and Vivian accidentally ran into a man carrying some boxes. The man fell to the ground and scraped his elbow which slowly began to bleed. Vivian became even more panicked and began to run. Ever time she passed someone she could hear their heartbeat and it was driving her mad. She had to get away from here. But where could she go? She looked around for somewhere to isolate herself anywhere without people would do.

Carrie threw her gum in the trash and glanced up in alarm to see the police coming over the street, she quickly raced down the way she that Vivian had gone and headed toward the nearest bathroom. The place was empty which was odd for a girls bathroom, those were usually packed and had a line all the way out of the front door. Annoying as most things went but she dealt with it.

Vivian heard the sound of someone running after and she stopped and looked back. It was Carrie and Vivian watched as she ran into the girl's bathroom. There didn't seem to be anyone in there, but she wasn't sure if she could go in there with Carrie. Well it was either out here with tons of people or in there with only one. She quickly went into the bathroom and leaned against the wall with her eyes shut. She tried to think of anything different than blood or food.

(Maybe we should do something to keep this going, but what could we do?)

Carrie sighed and ran her hand over the cracked mirror, the city was usually so busy fixing up the city from the super vilians that there was usually no money left for small things like this. It was sad really because the city itself had such potential.

"Crap." she muttered as she felt the sharp edge of the mirror cut her skin and pierce an artery. "Why do I do stupid things like that?" she muttered to herself and shook her hand to try to get the blood off her hand. That was when she looked up to see Vivian also in the bathroom, "Oh sorry I didn't see... you ok?" she asked as she glanced up at the other girl.

Vivian didn't answer Carrie's question or even look at her, her gaze was focused on Carrie's wound. The blood trickled down her arm and when Carrie shook her hand blood splattered onto the floor. Vivian's fangs were now starting to show under her lips. She started to walk towards Carrie, but stopped herself halfway. She tried to hold herself back, but she couldn't stand this.

Carrie's eyes widened in shock. The person she had been talking to just minutes ago now had fangs and looked like she wanted to kill her. She felt her heart beat race at the predatory look in Vivian's eyes, it wasn't something that she had seen directed at her in a while, not since she moved out of the house. The General had burned that look into her memory to many times not to be scared to death of it.

That was when Carrie's powers took over, her eyes changed from their normal brown to a rainbow as the elemental inside of her took over. "Vivian?" she asked in fear as she felt the water pipes behind her begin to creak and the air around her heat up greatly. She herself was scared to death and only that could trigger her powers into effect, that and mortal danger. Both came into effect now.

Vivian took a deep breath, shaky breath and grabbed the edge of the counter. Her control was quickly fading away and she said through clenched "G..g....get....... out!!" She didn't want to hurt Carrie or anyone else, but if anything else bad happened then she just might. And it did. When Carrie had shaken her hand and spray blood everywhere it had also gotten onto the counter......where Vivian's hand was now resting. She slowly raised her hand up to her face and then, though she tried to stop herself, she licked the blood off her hand. She hadn't tasted the blood of a human in so long that she had forgotten the wonderful taste and energy it gave her. She slowly looked at Carrie with death sparkling in her eyes and a low growl rose in her throat.
