Serenity glared at Green, first he decides to embarrass her and then runs off. He had better be watching his future, she sure as hell was. "Ditto." she called after the ninja and turned her emerald eyes back to Vivian, "Yeah I'm coming." she said with a sigh and glanced at the dove who had jumped off of Green's shoulder at the last possible second.
Serenity glanced at the dove and asked, "So what was four months ago anyway?" she wasn't sure that she wanted to know but that was half of the fun wasn't it?

Vivian watched with a smirk as "Plant Boy" made his exit then waited patiently for Serenity to catch up. Vivian slowly began to walk around the corner then said with a sheepish smile "Well.......I haven't slept in a bed for 'bout four months, maybe more. I don't really keep track of the days." She glanced over at Serenity and added "Unless you count five blankets laid on top of of a ragged, old pillow as a bed." She softly chuckled and then remained quiet the rest of the way there. After about fifteen minutes they came to an old, worn-out building that stood in the middle of an, otherwise, empty lot.
Dead, brown grass surrounded the building along with countless weeds and shrubs. Garbage also littered the lot where people had discarded their unwanted items ranging from soda cans to old tires. The building itself wasn't in any better shape. The windows and doors were completely boarded up and a sign hung loosely above the door, the words too faded to decipher. Multiple cracks covered the buildings walls and the once brilliant red paint that had covered the building had faded to a dull, ugly orange.
VIvian, now shaking from the cold, slowly walked up to the building and went to the back, where a fairly large metal grating was set into the pavement. The grating's thin bars were covered with a brownish red coating of rust. Vivian knelt down, took hold of the bars and pulled the door open. Inside, it was dark and a flight of stairs led down into the basement. Vivian looked up at Serenity with a small smile and then slowly made her descend down the stairs, pausing about halfway as she waited for Serenity to follow.

Serenity glanced down the hall before following Vivian with interest as she spotted the many different spirits that congealed here, "Wow this place has more ghosts then the cemetery," she muttered to Sorina as they followed Vivian down into the basement, "Nice place." she muttered to herself.

Vivian heard Serenity's statement and became curious of what all Serenity saw. But, she just shrugged it off and continued down the stairs. The room was dark and cold and the air was damp and musky. Vivian ran her hand along the wall blindly searching for the light switch. When she found it she flipped the switch and the room was illuminated with light. The room was small and grey and the walls were peeling and cracking. Half of the ceiling had apparently collapsed, for there was a large hole where you could clearly see the room above.
As you looked around, one corner had a lightly blue couch that was pushed against the wall with rips and holes everywhere. Beside the couch was an old, dusty table that had a radio set in the middle, Along that same wall was a tall white cabinet with a chain wrapped around the handles and locked with a padlock. Next to the cabinet sat a small refrigerator that quietly hummed to itself. The next corner over had a rusty-looking sink with a wooden cupboard hanging over it and a single shelf that was placed off to the side. The shelf had multiple bottles of rubbing alcohol, ointments, and other "medical" supplies.
The next corner to the left had sheets of paper thrown onto the floor in a wide circle. A guitar stood on a stand in the middle of the mess and a keyboard was pushed against the wall and plugged in. Another stand stood beside the guitar with nothing on it, but there was a case that laid at the foot of it. In the middle of the room there was an oval table with nothing on it and had only a single chair. Then, against the farthest wall, was a long, brown dresser with a cracked mirror perched above it. The dresser had many drawers and nothing was placed on it, except for a small picture framed with black wood.
The picture was of Vivian and her parents walking a forest trail lined with countless trees covered with autumn colored leaves. The picture had been taken eight years earlier, a year before Vivian's parents died, and they seemed so happy. The Vivian in the picture looked completely different from how she looked now. Her skin wasn't as pale then, her hair was longer, and her eyes sparkled with joy and love. The complete opposite from the present Vivian.
Vivian sighed and slowly made her way to the shelf and grabbed one of the bottles of rubbing alcohol, a handful of cotton balls, tweezers, and a bandage. She set the supplies on the table and began to unravel the old bandage on her arm. She glanced up at Serenity and said "So.........how'd you get your "I-see-dead-people" ability? Were you born with it or what?" She wasn't sure if Serenity would tell her much about herself, considering they just met, but Vivian couldn't think of anything else to talk about. She finished removing the bandage and began wiping the excess blood off her arm.
(wow i think that's one of the longest post I've ever done XD)

((And i did read it all, at least twice)) Serenity glanced around the room as she followed Vivian down the stairs, she could tell that if the future continued with this pattern then she would be leaving alive so there wasn't much to be worried about, "She complains about not having a place to sleep?" she asked incredulously. Yes the makeshift home may not be what people usually thought when they thought of a place to stay but for a basement that people have forgotten about it was very nice.
Sorina rolled her eyes, "Yeah she even has pictures here." she said pointing at the picture of a younger Vivian with her wing. It was an innocent picture of the teen standing before her. Very interesting as far as psychiatric study's went anyway.
Serenity nodded and took note of the details in the picture, the smiles really said it all though. The girl before her was a perfect example of innocence lost and never to be found again. "I was born with it." she said with a sigh and knocked Vivian's hands away as she took over cleaning the wounds, she was used to being one of the clean up people for the titans and was used to dealing with a lot of different injuries by now. "But it took me till I was about one and a half for someone to explain to me that I was seeing the dead and the living and why." she said with a sigh and grabbed an antibiotic swab.

Vivianlooked up at Serenity and said "I heard that. You don't really think I come here at the end of every day do you? I wander around the city and I'm not always able to get back here." She had cleaned up most of the blood and was unscrewing the cap on the rubbing alcohol when Serenity took over. Vivian opened her moth to protest, but decided it wasn't really necessary to argue. She sighed and leaned back on the chair and watched as Serenity clean the wound. Then said "Well did one of your parents have the same ability too? Or was it just chance that you got it?" Suddenly, the sound of fluttering wings came from above and Vivian quickly got up saying "Oh man I almost forgot."
She walked over to the white cabinet and grabbed a key that rested on top of it. She quickly unlocked the padlock and unwrapped the chain. She opened the cabinet and its shelves were full of different kinds of crackers and bread, except for one shelf that held a few plastic bowls on it. She grabbed a bowl and then grabbed a box of Ritz crackers. She took out a package that only had about ten crackers left and then put the box back on the shelf. She walked back to the table and set the bowl down, while crushing the crackers. Vivian poured the cracker crumbs into the bowl then handed the bowl to Serenity and asked "Want to feed them?"

Serenity shook her head at the offer, "Sorina?" she asked the dove and Sorina sighed irritably, "First I want to know what I'm feeding." she complained. The dove was tired of getting into situations where she had no idea what the outcome would be. It was getting to be annoying to her. And usually dangerous knowing the emerald eyed psychic.
Serenity rolled her eyes, "Do you want to tell her what she's feeding while I clean these cuts?" she asked as she looked over to Vivian and finally answered Vivian's first question, "My mother passed on her ability so see the future to me but it was luck I ended up with my 'I see dead people' ability." she said and pulled out a cotton swab, to clean the cut with, "This'll hurt." she warned before she applied the rubbing alcohol to the wound.

Vivian chuckled and then whistled a high pitched whistle. The sound of fluttering wings came closer to the hole in the ceiling and five grey doves came flying in and swarmed around the bowl all trying to get their share. Two of the doves landed on Serenity, one on her shoulder, the other on her head. Vivian quietly laughed as a pure white dove landed on her shoulder. She looked at the dove and gently stroked it's chest. She wasn't really paying attention to Serenity and pulled her arm back as the rubbing alcohol came in contact with her wound. The wound burned and the white dove fluttered off her should in surprise. Vivian looked up at Serenity and sheepishly smiled. "Sorry." Vivian relaxed and let Serenity continue with her cleaning.

Serenity smirked as Sorina's mouth, her beak dropped open. It wasn't often that Serenity surprised her with something like this. "Doves?" she asked amazed. Of course they couldn't exactly see her but they could tell she was there somehow, animals had always been more open to the spirit world then humans had.
The emerald eyed psychic smiled, "Yes doves." she said and her arm had snatched back Vivian's almost before she had pulled it away, "So again I'm going to warn you this'll hurt." she said with a small smirk and replied the rubbing alcohol. "So enough talk about ghosts and seeing the future, where did you get your powers from because you didn't have them when that picture was taken." she said and gestured to the picture on the other side of the room.
Oddly enough she hadn't been to that side of the room, Sorina had covered that part and Serenity had watched what she would do in the future to see it fully. They did this a lot where Serenity took in the information and Sorina acted on it. It had kept them alive till now and until it somehow stopped working they would keep up this strategy.

Vivian rolled her eyes at Serenity and watched as the doves ate. She winced in pain as the rubbing alcohol burned, but stood still. She looked back at Serenity and said "Well, actually I was born with this. If you look closer at the picture you can see that my eyes are still the same." Vivian watched Serenity clean her wound then added "My mother was a vampire and my father a werewolf and I had them to explain and teach me about my powers." She became silent for a moment and just stared at the ground.
Then she slowly walked over to the picture and picked it up. She leaned against the dresser and said "Though I do look pretty normal in this picture........." She held the picture with care and ran her hand over the glass, tracing the faces of her parents. "Life was just better back then. I had an actual house, a family, I didn't have to hunt for every meal, didn't have people chasing me away or avoid me like some kind of filthy animal, didn't have to worry about anything." A smile slowly grew on her face as she went through her memories and went on. "I remember when me dad would take me into the forest and we would go hunting together. Then, every year, during the summer my mom would take me camping." Vivian seemed lost in her memories as she looked at the picture. But, her smile slowly faded away. She thought back to the day that the picture was taken. They had been celebrating for they just learning that Vivian was going to have a younger sibling soon.
A sudden hole formed in Vivian's heart that was growing by the second. Vivian roughly placed the picture back on her dresser as a tear slid down her face. She quickly wiped it away hoping Serenity hadn't seen it and said "I'm gonna go change out of these clothes before I catch a cold or something." She opened the top drawer and pulled out a black t-shirt and then went to the bottom drawer and pulled out a pair of jeans. She draped them over her shoulder and walked underneath the hole, jumping up into the room above shouting back "This'll only take a minute."
After a few seconds she jumped back down in her new changes of clothes and walked back to the table and sat down. The doves, who were done eating, all flew to Vivian. There were two doves on each leg, one on her shoulder, and the white dove rested on her hand. She looked up at Serenity with a fake smile, but her eyes couldn't hide her pain and sorrow.
