Empathy was not one of the Titan leaders better attributes.

Actually, it wasn't one of her attributes, period. That the green furred Titan got from her mother; if people did something stupid and wrong and got caught doing it -- well, they shouldn't have done it, then. Or they shouldn't have gotten caught, at least. This lack of sympathy for those stupid criminals was clearly visible on the teenagers' face - or it would have been if anyone had noticed the small green mouse on the edge of rooftop, small tail twitching slightly.

What the usually peircing-studded Titan was looking at with such distaste was a mugger, who had decided it was a good idea to drag some smaller guy into an alley and try and pummel him for his wallet. Not the best idea in Jump City; although the Teen Titans dealt mostly with super-powered criminals, that didn't mean they weren't there to stop some muggers and bank-robbers. Which is why the little green mouse jumped off the side of the building and landed, a few seconds later, on top of the mugger.

Not as a mouse, though, as the terrified hollering of the ski-mask wearing male would testify to. No, she was instead a rther fearsome looking jaguar, long, sharp teeth bared threateningly in the face of the current bad guy.

Yeah this was the fun part, the look on the victims faces. Not that there was only one victim here, the muggy was as much a victim as the mugger, Shift could be scary when she wanted to be. "I'm pretty sure that's Jaguar for back off or else..." she said sitting on top of a dumpster. It was surprisingly not that bad of a smell but that had something to do with the trash that had been taken only a few hours ago.

Sorina decided to finish Serenity's sentience just for the fun of it. "or I will bare my fangs at you menacingly until you back off." she said with a sarcastic hint to her voice.

Serenity pushed her long blond hair back behind her ear as one side was tied back with a hair clip, "Sorina." she said trying very hard not to laugh.

"What?"

The psychic rolled her emerald eyes and leaped off the dumpster lightly and landed next to the muggy. "I'm Serenity, Victor, you're safe now." she said with a smile plastered across her face.[/size]

Neseru hopped from above behind Serenity, aiming the attack, this was not a fair fight, that man was terrified out of his f*cking mind and these two bastards were playing off his fear, as far as she could tell, just because he decided to wear a hat on this cold night. Her hand flashed down towards Serenity's neck, to hit a point in it that really only she could hit with her training, and if connected, it could knock Serenity out for around 10 minutes, for her to awake with a bad headache.

Serenity dodged out of the way the moment the empath made the decision to attack her. The only thing she had learned from her countless hours of practice was how to dodge an attack, and with her foresight she was able to do it well. "Neseru, I don't know why you want to attack me for pointing out the obvious but I am not your enemy," she said glancing at the girl from the other side of the mugging victim

She had been about to treat his lacerations from his initial attack from the person Athena had just scared the crap out of. "Are you going to let me treat him? Or do you want to kick my but first and let him get an infection?" she asked not particularly wanting to deal with more than one dead spirit today. Although the only way this man would die was from a crossfire from the fighting. He had no bad bleeding but infection could be dangerous to him. She hadn't gone to medical school but she wasn't stupid either.[/size]

As Serenity went to help the muggie, Shift did what she did best and shifted from jaguar to human. She let the man up, digging into her utility belt for some handcuffs. Not those old-fashioned metal kind, no, but the top-of-the-line kind, small and compact enough to fit neatly into a little pouch on someone's belt; hers or a cops. pressing a button on the side, the heroine handcuffed the mugger, carefully keeping herself between him and the exit of the alley - as a human, she wasn't strong enough to take him down if he decided to run.

The handcuffs in place, Athena twisted the button she had initially pressed once more, making the cuffs locked. "I'll call the cops, Serenity. Thanks for the backup.", the Titan called over to her blonde freind and sometimes-teammate, keeping one hand on the mans' shoulder as she pressed him - gently-ish -against the wall.

Then she heard Serenity talking to someone else - neseru, whoever that was - and she looked around. Then the teenager remembered to look up, and caught sight of the anti-hero. Anger made the shape shifter move forward before she remembered the perp she was holding in place and stopped - making her sort of jerk to a halt one step in. her glare, however, was fully in place. "What's the idea?", Athena called up, angily.

Neseru glanced at Athena, just one quick piercing glare, that'd un-nerve all but the toughest, even more-so since such scary eyes came from the 14 year old girl, before moving towards the man now cuffed, ignoring Athena, almost knowing that the green one wouldn't kill her. But hey, if she, it'd be just f*cking great. As if life isn't bad enough, death would almost be welcome.

And with that armed in mind, she made to push Serenity out of the way, so she could make it to the poor man, now deemed as criminal. With these two here, she couldn't do anything, but help the scared to death man.

Serenity narrowed her eyes as she felt the almost normal burn on her forehead as she searched though Neseru's future, the odd thing was... "Sorina I think she's a mute." she said softly to the spirit dove next to her. Reading through her future was odd to say the least, she had to gain information about her in different ways then she would usually.

Sorina snapped her head around to look at the blond medium, "You think?" she asked in shock not used to hearing the emerald eyed psychic speak in uncertainties when she knew where the future would lead there wasn't much room for uncertainty.

Serenity glared at the dead dove, "Yes I think you should try it sometime."[/size]

Her ears might have been sharp, but that didn't mean Athena could hear everything; whatever Serenity was saying, the green Titan couldn't hear it. It was probably her scolding Sorina anyways, the shape shifter guessed. Right then she had another problem on her hands; the advancing Neseru. Shift, catching sight of the younger girls' glare, felt her confidence waver a minute - that was some damn strong emotion in those eyes...

But the seventeen year old wasn't made leader of the Titans for nothing. She wasn't going to step aside just because some kid gave her a dirty look. Straightening her shoulders a little, the Teen Titan moved forward a step and watched Neseru coolly.

Neseru did nothing to Athena for stepping in the way, aside from two things, feeling the annoyance of Athena's, reflect off her own annoyance for the green b*tch for being in the way. That and trying to step around Athena, with a glance towards Serenity, what was that one muttering to that spirit about? she wondered, still trying to get around Athena.

Serenity glanced up at Neseru as soon as she glanced at the dove next to her. She could see the spirit world... "Neseru can you see me?" the dove asked quite shocked.

Serenity's hands had stopped on Victor's makeshift bandages that she was applying, it was rare for her to come across someone who could see the dead. Even rarer for them to surprise her with the ability.
