All Hallow's Eve [Chione/Open]

Serenity didn't even send a glance at Sorina but knew that she was racing for Chione at high speed, probably going for his arms if she knew the dove. "You know spirits really hate it when you impersonate them." she said and sent a glance at the other spirits at the gathering, "And most aren't helpless." she said returning her glare back to Chione.[/size]

[Athena 'Shift' Logan]

Annoyed that Chione had just talked circles around her, Shift decided that the only thing she needed to know was that it looked like he was choking someone, which was enough for her to attack him for. So she did, unaware that Serenity knew Sorina was attacking - since she couldn't see the spirit bird, it wasn't just impatience to punch something on the shape shifters' behalf, although that might have helped a little.

"That's assault, Chione. The police won't be happy about that.", she called out, reaching for the aura-emitting male as she drew closer, still in her human form. He didn't look very strong underneath all that costume he had on, so she figured that she could take him out with just her usual muscle.

Whoa..." Chione said, stamping the energy down through his feet, to evade Athena's charge, reaching about 20 feet into the air, before coming back down, dropping the man, who had passed out from lack of oxygen.

"Me impersonate a spirit? No... You mis-understand, and here I thought that pretty face held intelligence, oh well" He said shrugging, backing away from the two, to have them both within his sight at the same time, until Sorina struck him in his arm, with a force that forced him to twist to avoid as much damage as he could.

"Hm... I guess you hold a spirit... as a servant? Friend? It varies, but to clarify..." he said, rubbing his arm, the red energy forming a barrier around him, the air being pushed out of the way. "I... am a demon, I am no simple lost soul" He spoke quickly, words slurring slightly into the beginnings of the next, though it was a natural slur, as he talked quickly his whole life.

Sorina had quickly flown around Athena as she had gone for the attack as well, and only managed a minor scrape down Chione's side. "I'm no servant." she screeched as she dealt the minor blow. She was always frustrated how when people believed her to be some slave to the blonde psychic. Not that she minded the girl at all but they could sometimes get on each other's nerves.

Serenity smiled as her favorite bird struck, or hoped that the dove had made a hit at all. Chione's fighting skills were to instinctual for her to get a read on him, "Oh I hoped you would be smarter than the other idiots I took down earlier," she said with a disapproving look at the demon boy, "It's not me you have to worry about." she explained with a roll of her eyes. "It's them." she said pointing around the park to the spirits who were now looking at Chione with disapproval.[/size]

Shift was wondering - as she started getting a cramp in her neck from keeping an eye on the twenty-feet-in-the-air Chione, who now had a barrier around him as well, great - if she was actually going to be of any help that night. Several kids - and a few older teens and adults - had already been scared by her throughout the night, as early as it was. That might have been because she had punched a would-be jewelry store robber in the face and then threatened to give him rabies even before he had broken the store's front window.

It didn't help that Chione and Serenity were having an entire conversation with her following only about half of what was said, as most of it involved spirits and demons - things that made her head spin if she thought about them too much. For example: Serenity's statement of that it was 'them' that Chione had to worry about would have been alot more threatening if she knew who or what 'them' was.

Y'know" chione said, adding an extra layer of his energy between him and the others, for saftety's sake. "I don't know why you two don't like me? I mean, sure I'm a demon, but does that mean I'm evil?" he asked neither of them particularly.

He pushed back his hood, so he could tuck back his brown hair behind his ear. Though covered, there was something white sticking out from under the bandages, that was tucked behind his ear. His lucky cigarette, the one he always kept behind his ear, until it was the last in the pack, then he'd smoke it. Which he seemed to be planning on doing, as he reached into his pocket, taking out a lighter.

"I mean, have I done anything REALLY evil? It's not like I killed, or even injured any good guys, now have I?" he asked, lighting the cigarette, sticking it through the bandages, to place between his lips, and held out a different pack, retrieved from a different pocket, and talking as he blew out, "Either of you want one, new pack, Camel..." he glanced down at it quick "Oop, my bad, their Red 100's"

[Athena 'Shift' Logan]

"I don't think I mentioned evil.", Shift pointed out, growing annoyed by Chione's flippant conversation. "But you did something that endangered people - that's why we dislike you.", the shape shifter said, backing up a few paces before shfting into a hummingbird in the blink of an eye. Banking left and up was easy for the tiny green bird, who changed to some larger beast when she was above Chione in the air.

Said beast was an octopus.

The gravity that rapidly weighed down the falling eight-armed shifter made it hard for her to do much of anything, but the height from which she was falling and how long her arms were made it as good a chance as any that she had gotten hold of Chione when all eight sucker-covered tenticles grabbed for the smoking male.

Serenity smirked at the other male, "No I just plane dislike him." she said narrowing her eyes, and glaring at the cigarette in ninja boy's mouth. Sorina nodded in agreement making sure the man that he had attacked wasn't in critical condition.

"Giant squid is bigger." Sorina noted as Athena began to fall.

Sorina rolled her eyes and reached to test the man's pulse. "He's fine." she muttered gratefully. That would be one less thing to deal with tonight.[/size]

Chione moved quickly, using his powers on himself, he imitated super-speed, by pushing his energy away from him. For ever action there is an equal and opposite reaction. His action of releasing energy, caused him, to fly in the opposite direction of the release point, which incidentally, landed him near Serenity. And as an added bonus, the suddenness of Athena's shifting, had made him drop his fresh pack of cigarettes.

"Leave him, His soul belongs to another" he said, cryptically, taking a long drag from the cigarette, he exhaled slowly, savouring his lucky cigarette, thankful his teeth had clamped over it. "And I don't mean me" he added sheepishly. "I don't deal with slavery of souls, or of body for that matter."

Serenity felt herself stiffen at the sound of Chione behind her, she wasn't inclined to like people who decided they wanted to speak in riddles to her. She quickly spun to tear the cigarette out of the ninja's mouth, "No smoking in a public park." she growled wishing she could break his nose with a second punch.[/size]
